My favorite place in Michigan
Something special happens here, when you're surrounded by your family, next to a beach campfire, watching the sunset go down past the islands not far in the distant. Watching the sun glint off pyramid point. Sugar sand between your toes, the calm demeanor of the ocean (lake) inviting you in. If you ever asked, i'd show you every picture. Simply inviting, amazing owners. Will go back yearly until i can't walk anymore.

Our Favorite Place
Another wonderful week spent at Wild Sun! Our family loved every minute of our vacation in one of the most beautiful spots on Lake Michigan. The house and beach are so clean and well kept and the easy communication with Cameron is always appreciated. My nephews loved exploring the beach and we appreciated all of the fun activities available (kayak, bikes, beach toys, inner tubes). There may have been a few tears when the little guys realized our vacation was over :) Thank you for sharing your home with us! We can’t wait to come back!

Wild Sun
We had a great time! The property, inside and out, is beautiful and meticulously maintained. They had plenty of water and sand toys as well as adult bikes for our use. The homeowner had extra added touches that made our arrival very welcoming. We were very comfortable with all the amenities that were included. It was very easy to communicate with the homeowners. n We could not ask for a better experience!

A True Gem in Northern Michigan
This beautiful, wonderfully situated lake front home is exceptionally clean. Our helpful hosts left many appreciated welcome gifts - like local roasted coffee, wine, bread, and cheese. There is a plentiful supply of beach equipment - kayaks, chairs and umbrellas, sand toys and little people chairs. The spectacular sunsets were accompanied by memorable campfires. This is the ideal family vacation spot in all of Michigan.

Wild Sun belongs to Robert Bonner, 90 yrs. old who was a native of Beaver Island and married Rosella Bussey (deceased) native of Lake Leelanau. Bob now lives in an assisted living location in Ann Arbor area.
The family Cottage next door was built in 1972 and is now owned by son Cameron and wife Brenda of Ann Arbor who manage the Wild Sun on Bob's behalf. The property was purchased in 1985 and the home was built in 2006.

Why they chose this property

This property sits on some of the best beach on Good Harbor Bay and about 1000' south of the property begins the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore - 20 miles of virgin sandy undisturbed beach.
The view from this property perfectly frames Good Harbor Bay with Leland Whale Back point to the North; Pyramid point to the South and full views of both North and South Manitou Islands with the lighthouse in the center out in the bay.
