About this property

This apartment called "Fiore Rosso" (65m2) is located in a period house in the historic centre of Stresa. Stresa is a very beautiful and elegant small town on Lake Maggiore, at the foot of the Italian Alps.
The apartment, which is on three floors, was recently renovated, and it is furnished in a bright, modern style.

It is less than an hour from Milan Malpensa Airport and 85 km from Milan itself.

Lake Maggiore and its famous "passeggiata" is only a few steps (30 metres) away and from there you can take a boat trip to the Borromeo islands (Isola Bella, Maggiore and Pescatori) or even to Switzerland. The Lido of Stresa with its fully-equipped public beach and children's playground is 300 metres away.

A garage 500 metres away is available for you to park your car free of charge.

Numerous restaurants, boutiques, shops, the "Carrefour" supermarket, various food-shops and cafés are all nearby.

It is less than an hour from Milan Malpensa Airport (45 km) and 85 km from Milan itself.

The apartment is 800 metres from Stresa station with direct train to central Milan (50 mins) where you can shop, sightsee, or simply sip a coffee and watch the world go by in the famous Piazza del Duomo. The bus-stop for the lakeside towns of Arona, Baveno and Verbania is very close by.

There is a regular bus service called AliBus which runs from Milano Malpensa airport directly to the centre of Stresa. It stops very near to this apartment, at the church by the lake.

The apartment has a private balcony with a small table and chairs. It looks out over an inner courtyard with table and chairs where you can eat outside. This courtyard is shared with the other apartment called "Rosa del Lago".

Living room with open-plan kitchen (with washing machine, cooker, electric coffee machine, kettle and microwave) and SAT TV. Bedroom on the 2nd floor with double bed and bathroom with shower. On the 3rd floor is a bedroom with twin beds and bathroom (no shower). A fold-up bed can be added, if necessary. Baby bed and high-chair available. Can sleep up to five people.

End-of-stay cleaning = 50 Euros to pay on arrival

Lovely place to explore Lake Maggiore

My husband and I stayed here with our 14 and 10 year olds and it was perfect for us. So close to the centre of Stresa, we went everywhere on foot or public transport. A beautiful resort and a lovely apartment to call home for a week.

Very good for a small family

This apartment was very good. A full kitchen/living room w/ small table and a love seat. The two bedrooms, one above the other were very fine, 1 1/2 baths. Everything was immaculately clean. Be aware that the main floor of this apartment is two flights up in the courtyard, so the top bedroom is a bit of a climb. The apartment is also gated from the street, so it is very secure. Also be aware that a taxi cannot deliver you or pick you up at the door because of the narrow, restricted-to-residents street. But you are only a half block from the main highway, right across from the Piazza Marconi. The owner Maria Antonietta was very kind.

Un bel appartement bien agencé et très bien situé.

Un très bon accueil dans cet appartement (Fiore Rosso / sur trois niveaux) très fonctionnel et très propre. Antonietta nous a très chaleureusement et gentiment accueilli et nous a montré tous les services de son bel appartement. Situé quasiment au cœur du centre ville (mais calme) cet appartement est idéalement situé pour toutes sortes d'activités autour du Lac Majeur. Bien sur, il a fait très chaud pendant cette semaine caniculaire mais savons que la climatisation est interdite dans cet ancien quartier pour ne pas dénaturer et enlaidir les façades des habitations (le grand ventilateur dans la chambre est assez efficace). Un peu d'inconfort afin de ne pas détruire la charme de la ville cela en vaut la peine ! Merci pour cet agréable séjour ! Nous recommandons cet appartement.
