The cottage is older, but a nautical themed decor adds fresh flair to this modest home a short stroll away from Lake Fork (0.4 miles away). It offers a peaceful 360-degree view of mature trees & occasional wildlife.
Outdoor amenities include charcoal bbq grill, basketball hoop, volleyball, badminton, croquet, bocce, corn hole/horseshoe toss, kayaks, firepit, outdoor seating, hammocks and picnic table.
Books, board games, DVD movies, Keurig coffee maker, free WiFi access , fresh linens and towels are also provided.
Kitchen has a fridge, electric range, microwave, toaster, pans, pots, dishes , cutlery, paper towels, dish soap, salt, pepper, oil, sugar, creamer, coffee, can opener, bottle opener, knives, and scissors ( there is no dishwasher and the wood burning stove is non-functional).
Guest Access:
There is another cabin in the property where owners live with their dogs and kittens. The distance between cabins is 80 feet apart. Guests can explore the entire 6-acre property - there is a small pond some 300 feet away from the Lakehouse.
Security :
There are security cameras on the outside premises of the property ( outdoor locations only) for the protection of our guests .
Interaction with Guests :
We strive to give our guests as much privacy as possible , but you may see us from time to time work in our yard and water our plants during your stay. We love to meet our guests, so don’t hesitate to strike up a conversation.
However, should our guests desire complete privacy, we are always available by messages or phone for any questions or if anything is needed during your stay .

The property is not lakefront. The lake and the public boat ramp on FM-17 is 0.4 mile away from the property.
This home is not suitable for infants and young children but parents with kids are welcome to book.
The bathroom can be accessed through the bedroom. The bedroom has an open floor plan that connects to the dining and kitchen area.
We have septic system in the country instead of sewer, so please do not flush baby/wet wipes, tampons and sanitary pads.
The cottage has 1 queen sized bed and 1 full sized sofa bed. TV has no cable , DVD player only. There is no dishwasher and no washing machine.
Owners live full-time in the cabin next door with their 2 daughters, dogs and several cats. Owners’ cabin is approximately 80 feet away from the rental cottage .
Wood burning stove is not operational . But there is an electric range and charcoal bbq grill.
Must climb stairs ( 3 steps) to the main door. This home is not wheelchair accessible .
Don't forget to bring an outdoor bug spray! Since the property is located in a country setting, we have bugs and critters. We have the place treated regularly but they will find their way in occasionally. Always keep the door tightly close at all times to keep the bugs out. To limit your exposure to snakes, please inform all occupants to stay on pathways and use a flashlight when walking at night. Always inspect hammocks and outdoor sitting areas for brown recluse or other spiders.

We ask that you understand that certain things are beyond our control and may occur at any time without notice.
House Rules-
1. Only registered guests listed in the original booking BEFORE check-in are allowed to stay in the property for accountability and liability purposes.
2. No pets are allowed .
3. No early check-ins or late check-outs. Check-in time is 3PM and check out time is 11 AM.
4. Strictly NO SMOKING is allowed inside the house.
7. Any damage to the property or items within the home ( beddings, towels, furnitures) will result in a charge.
