Wonderful Weekend

My daughter and I stayed here for a long weekend in San Diego. The views are lovely, and we enjoyed our morning walk to Kettle & Stone for coffee and avocado toast. Parking is plentiful and the location is 15-20 minutes to about everything. We had a slight issue with the toilet, and the owners had it fixed in a jiffy. We will return.

Absolutely Lovely!

I came to San Diego to visit my brother and sister-in-law. They graciously arranged for me to stay at the Canyon View - conveniently, just blocks from their condo - and close to "everything San Diego". I have stayed in vacation rentals long before it was "trendy" - so many I've lost count! Without a doubt, however, the Canyon View is now on my "absolute favorites list"! The views were breathtaking - especially as the sun rose while I sipped coffee at the deck cafe table each day; the gardens/landscaping magnificent; the furnishings and decor tasteful and comfortable - and the king bed with its soft linens... delightful; the bathroom was roomy, with fluffy towels, wonderful shower and "nice-touch" toiletries; the kitchen was wonderfully stocked (including plenty of k-cups) and I appreciated the very attractive and high-quality dinner/glassware - which is not something I can "count-on" when staying at a rental property. The only thing future renters should be aware of - the access to the suite is behind/beneath the main residence. The stone step walk-downs (1 on each side of the unit) are a bit uneven, narrow, and are illuminated only when triggered by a motion-detecting-light. I did, however, quickly learn how to safely/comfortably navigate my trips up/down. I would highly recommend the Canyon View and would look forward to staying again if I am blessed to return to San Diego.

Perfect Getaway

My husband and I love to visit San Diego and this was the perfect place to stay tucked away but also very accessible to all the places we wanted to go. The view was beautiful, the apartment was cozy and we will definitely be back.

Beautiful neighborhood

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely place very much! It’s a quiet neighborhood. You can take Uber to most of the places with a very reasonable price. The view outside is super nice!

We are both Southern California natives and love living in Mission Hills! We discovered Mission Hills on our first date, 34 years ago, and both said "we will live here someday!" And so, here we are. Managing our vacations rentals is great fun for us and we enjoy meeting people from all over the world. We live in the neighborhood so don't hesitate to contact us if you should need anything.

Why they chose this property

Most people cruising Mission Hills don't realize how many canyons are intertwined in the neighborhood. Canyon View Suite is perched on Mission Canyon with beautiful views and a lovely breeze that winds up from San Diego Bay. A walking trail below winds through the canyon. Red-tailed hawks can be seen and heard.
This suite is located on the lower level of an historic home, built in 1912. It is steps away from our "mainstreet" which has a coffee house, deli, boutiques and spas.

What makes this property unique

The small town feel you get here while being minutes from downtown and the airport is special. It is a safe, walkable neighborhood. Trendy restaurants and shops are a few blocks away. We hope you have a great time here!
