100 Year old Cozy Cottage on the mountain, Million Dollar View. Electric fire place, wood floors. Porch out back to sit and take in the view. Very quiet neighborhood, designated street parking. Walking distance to downtown Trail. 15 km from Red Mountain Ski Resort, easy access to the beautiful Kootenays. Full kitchen, comfy living room. Queen size bed, claw bathtub and shower.

Howard and Linda provided a wonderful atmosphere. So very cozy, well appointed, and comfortable. We stayed a month and we’re very sad to leave.

Cozy Cottage in Trail

Our stay at the Cottage in Trail exceeded our expectations. It was warm and welcoming from the moment we stepped in and the twinkling lights here and there added to the festive atmosphere during the holidays. We had everything we needed and we enjoyed coming "home" each day after snowboarding at Red Mtn. and making a home cooked meal and relaxing without a care. We also enjoyed the view of the river and the lights of the bridges. Penny communicated with us quickly and we were happy to be able to park directly across the street from the unit. Thanks for everything Penny!

Good stay for me, hubby not so much

Difference of opinions between husband and I. I liked it. It is quaint, nostalgic and not fancy but comfortable. Has basic kitchen with dishwasher and full sized fridge and washer dryer. Bedroom large but no door. Location is funky. Terraced street like in Europe with huge variety of old style homes. Easy walk to downtown Trail with great grocery store Ferraros and local museum, also to pedestrian bridge which goes across river to liquor store and Safeway. Drive to Red Mtn about 20 - 25 min. Bed comfie. Place is unique. Called a cottage which suits description. My husband did not appreciate its older vibe.

Me and my wife are business owners of iGot Juiced. We Love to serve the public and especially believe when a guest is at the Cottage they should feel a sense of home. We put extra expense into the linens for the bed so our guest feel like they are sleeping on a cloud.

Why they chose this property

If you are looking for a place to stay alone or as a couple the Cottage on the Mountain has a welcome back home vibe. Its cozy and warm and when it snows looking out the living room window is like being in a old fashioned movie.

What makes this property unique

The Cottage was built in 1925, all the plumbing and wiring is completely updated. We left the old fashioned feeling with the lighting and original vintage accents. The bathroom has its original claw bathtub big enough for two.
In the evening you can watch the lights changing on the Trail bridge, or sit on the deck with a hot chocolate and watch the river rush by.
The Deck has a table and chairs for a quiet game night of scrabble or cards which is provided.
Or that midnight stroll you can walk down to the brand new walking bridge across to the other side of the river it’s a great walk and it’s very refreshing.
