About this property

The Cabin at Wayside - a new cozy get-away!

Located atop the rugged, forested landscape of Lookout Mountain but just a 10-minute drive from the city limits, the newly-constructed Cabin at Wayside offers privacy and country living. The Cabin is nestled in the trees of Wayside Estate, minutes from the tourist attractions and surrounded by miles of biking and hiking trails. A downstairs bedroom with a queen size bed and a sleeping loft with a double bed and a twin make it perfect for couples, friends and families. The cathedral ceiling and windows create a cozy living and dining area.

The cabin is brand new! It has a floor to ceiling hearth with gas logs. The kitchen area is equipped with a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, toaster and two-burner cook top as well as pots and pans, dishes, etc. Any other small appliances or implements are available from our kitchen with just a request. There is also an outdoor grill.
The deck faces the glorious sunsets and the fire pit is a great spot after sundown. We love children! Let us know ages and we'll share our vast array of well-loved toys. The tire swing in the woods is available, too.

Great Little Cabin!

Exactly what we needed! Short drive to all the places we were visiting. The host were very kind and respectful, the live right on the property. Very cozy cabin with just enough space for 5 people. Many trails to hike that are accessible right outside your cabin. Many thanks to our host for showing us the way!

Great Cottage, Great Location on Lookout Mtn

Our February 2024 stay at the cottage was perfect. Cottage was beautiful, quiet, clean, and well equipped. Loved the fire pit and the walking trail right outside the door. Great location for everything you want to do on Lookout Mountain and the Chattanooga area. Would definitely stay again!

Magical Mountain Getaway

Our original reason for coming to Chattanooga was to watch iur daughter play soccer. We decided to stay at this cabin and it was a magical experience for my entire family. I have 2 teen daughters and a 8 year old son. There was plenty of room for all of us and the accommodations are extremely comfortable. Gary and Patricia built a beautiful cabin that is filled with beautiful details. Reading through the guest book you can feel the love that exudes from those who have stayed before. The weather did not cooperate as much but it did not matter. We talked, we played games and just enjoyed the quiet retreat. The memories created will be cherished forever. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

Lookout getaway

Had a wonderful time staying at this lookout cabin. Beautiful setting and close to the sites and town. It was cozier than I realized but worked well for our family of 4. The hosts were great at communicating with us and making us aware of some things I did not notice in the listing that could have been a problem. We were there over Thanksgiving and did not realize there was no oven, only a plug in stove top; which was fine since we did not have dinner there. Very enjoyable stay and great hosts!
