Townhome, 3 Bedrooms, 3.25 Baths, (Sleeps 6)
We live outside of Seattle, Washington and spend about 3 months at our Hawaiian home. Our 3 adult children spend another one month there. We particularly enjoy the Beach Club swimming and snorkeling. I think the snorkeling there is among the best in Hawaii-clear waters and lots of fish in a somewhat protected beach area. We also enjoy the golf at the 2 Mauna Lani courses which offer some spectacular scenic holes. The Beach Club also offers a complimentary 30 minute paddle board lesson with Gary at the Water Sports shack. He also has other water equipment that you may want to rent.
Owner purchased this Townhouse in 2005
Why Owner chose Puako
We had been coming to Hawaii for over 25 years and so we had a good idea of what the different islands offered and the types of accomodations at the various resorts. The quality of the unit is the best we saw with lots of space and layed out in a fashion where 6 people can live comfortably without bumping into each other and also enjoy some privacy. Also, the Mauna Lani resort has lots of good restaurants and the Beach Club and the golf courses are outstanding. The hotels (Mauna Lani Bay and Fairmont Orchard)also offer great food and outstanding views. A really ncie way to cap a day's activity is at the Mauna lani hotel's outside bar and grill to watch the sunset while sipping a cool beverage followed by a light meal. make sure to go at Happy Hour!
What makes this Townhouse unique
The Beach Club and the golf courses one can't say enough about. We're also within walking distance ( a few minutes) of the Shops at Mauna Lani which has two really good restuarants (Ruth's Chris and Tommy Bahama) as well as a more affordable Japanese restaurant. Best of all is the Foodland Farms grocery store which has many prepared meals and offes a wide variety of food if one wants to cook. The Village's Amenity Center is a three minute walk from our unit. This center includes a swimming pool, hot water tub, and a work out room.

Experience of a lifetime
Spacious yet cozy property with access to all the amenities you could hope for. Perfect for families of all ages or a relaxing or adventurous couples retreat. We are so glad we stayed here!
Great house. Lots to doin the area.
Beautiful quiet home with plenty of amenities.
We had a great stay, with the help of property manager Bennett. He is very attentive and met us even when we had very late arrival.
The A/C was troublesome, and he continued to work on it until it was fixed.
The TV’s use Spectrum cable and either the cable service is faulty or the remote controls are in need of upgrade.
The sofa in living room is very comfortable, but needs a good cleaning.
Overall wonderful stay!
The A/C issue has been fixed. The Spectrum remotes does
take some getting used to. There were instructions for how to use the remote that obviously have been misplaced. The sofa will be cleaned in February.
Very large and luxurious
We were all so pleasantly surprised at how very large and luxurious this townhouse turned out to be. So often on websites, the photos make the rooms seem so much bigger than they are in reality. Not so with this townhouse, it was much bigger than we expected. Distances to amenities were very manageable and there was something of interest for everyone in our group. The beaches were great! We shopped for groceries in the KTA Market and cooked all our meals together in the kitchen which had everything we needed for many different kinds of meals. Beds were great, bathrooms were lavish and the common areas were very very comfortable. The weather was mild which made it possible to slide the glass doors all the way back into the wall and make the lanai part of the extended living room without the need to run the air conditioner and just use the fans. It was outdoor living with all the comforts of a beautiful home.
Thanks Alyson for submitting a fabulous review of our Hawaiian home in the Mauna Lani Resort. Our town home # 606 is great match for a large group such as yours. Everybody has their own space with a great room, outdoor lanai and three ensuite bedrooms and bathrooms. And our home is such a five minute
walk to Foodland Farms and the restaurants at the shops and a 20-25 minute walk to swimming beaches.
A fantastic Birthday getaway!
I wanted to wake up in Hawaii on my 50th birthday and I chose this lovely townhome for my special vacation. It was absolutely perfect for my family. Bennett the manager was there upon our arrival and he is a wealth of information on the island, besides being perfectly delightful and very sweet. This is a very large spacious home - we were 7 (4 grown-up and opinionated moms and aunties, two 19 year old teen girls and a 13 year old teen boy.) The bedroom layouts were perfect for our group, everyone had a place to sleep and the bathrooms were so pretty! The owners have decorated their island home with so many authentic touches, from the amazing artwork and photography on the walls, to the huge wicker pineapple which stores toys for the little ones! I loved the attention to detail! The beds were so comfortable. Usually there is always someone in a large group who has to complain about something, but there was NOTHING that we didn't like!!! We stocked up on food at Foodland. Sign up for the Makai card in order to take advantage of their discounts. You can walk over the to Queens Shops from the condo and enjoy dinner at Tommy Bahamas and some fine shopping. Also, on Mondays and Thursdays at 7, there is a Polynesian dance show, with pretty hula and fire dancers. It is definitely worth going and it's free! There is also beach equipment in the garage, like boogie boards, floats, sand toys, flippers, snorkels, masks, noodles and chairs that we used on various days down at The Beach Club. Because it was the busy holiday season, we tried to arrive by nine in order to get some of the blue cabana chairs for our group. The beach at the Club is gorgeous, white sand, fringed with palm trees, very chill vibe with mostly families. We rented kayaks from Dylan at Uncle Gary's Shack and had lots of fun paddling around. You can also rent snorkel gear, outrigger canoes and paddle boards as well as boogie boards. The owners were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about things to do and where to eat. We spent one morning down at Kiholo Bay enjoying the sea turtles and the beach. My sister was in turtle heaven -that is all she wanted to see on this trip, and boy did Kiholo deliver. We cannot wait to return to the Hawaii and explore more of the other side of the island - we would love to come back and make this our island home base again. I cannot say enough good things - it was the best vacation and the loveliest, most welcoming and comfortable home.
Great Family Townhome
Our family stayed in this Townhome in the summer. It is the perfect place for a family. We have 2 grandkids. The crib, beach toys, and books were greatly appreciated. Also, it was so relaxing to sit on the lanai and barbecue. The kitchen is very well stocked. The beds are very comfortable and we appreciated the air conditioning in the summer. It is well located near the shops and grocery store. We loved spending time at the pool and beach club. The manager is super helpful so if you have any questions or problems, he is nearby.
