The home of a Danish expat, it’s filled with one-of-a-kind style and personality, in a charming white mountain village, which is a part of the Nature park Sierra de las Nieves.

The space
You can enjoy a spacious house of 130 sqm, with a roof terrace viewing the village Tolox and the mountains. It's located in the middle of the village with large Spanish style stairs leading up to the main square.

Tap water is drinkable and fresh coming straight from the surrounding mountains.

About the host

Host profile image
I'm Morten, I live in Copenhagen, Denmark and have a vacation home in Tolox, Spain. I fell in love with the sunny white town in Andalucia. Everything from the narrow cobble stone streets, locals and the hikes around. Tolox is one of the many pueblos blancos in the region and has stayed under the radar, so it's really a hidden gem. I truly enjoy my free time living like a local in the natural beauty of this Andalucian mountain town. I'd be happy to help plan your time out here and have hired a caretaker of the house that you can communicate with. Her name is Alina and you can let her know if you have any questions about the house or the area in general. It is much more than just a rental to me and I have made sure that my caretaker will be there for you in case you need anything.

Interaction with guests
I won't be there in person to meet and greet you, but you'll have access to the caretaker, Alina, who lives in Spain and the cleaning lady. Alina is in charge of making your stay smooth and enjoyable. She will also be the one you communicate with. If you have any questions or need help you can just call or send a message to Alina.

Why they chose this property

It's an original property dating back from 1200. They used to process and dry ham in the kitchen, which gives the house high ceilings letting lots of natural light inside and stunning views over the village and the mountains in the back. Tolox is part of Sierra de las Nieves, a natural park where you can hike, birdwatch and enjoy the outdoors. And it's also a very traditional village where time stands still. If you're out to explore hidden gems of Andalusia, then this is a recommended spot. You will truly get a sense of how it is to live like a local in this white little mountain village.

What makes this property unique

Enjoy clean fresh spring water, coming straight from the mountains. Drink it straight from the taps in the house. Some people travel here to collect it for healing purposes.
