About John W. Moore
Paula and I both grew up within a 90 minute drive of Lake Lure. We have lived in here full time since 1998. We love the mountains, the lake and living in a small town environment only 30 minutes away from Asheville and Hendersonville. A YouTube video was produced by Beverly Hanks Real Estate and includes an interview with us and a history of our town. You can find it by searching "Lake Lure John and Paula Moore" on YouTube.

Why John W. Moore chose Lake Lure
We have always loved being on a lake where we can swim, ski, canoe and fish. We chose this house because of the wonderful view of the lake and mountains. An added bonus is that the house faces north so we avoid the direct sun in the mornings and afternoons.
What makes this House unique
This house has plenty of parking right at the front door which is so convenient for loading and unloading our cars. The screen porch and the stone patio are wonderful places to unwind and relax. The 2 bedroom 1 bath Carriage house is included and is only about ten feet from the main house.

This was are first visit to Lake Lure and it was amazing! We had plenty of room 6 adults and 6 kids. The house provided everything we needed and the view of the lake was beautiful. The kids wanted to go tubing so we contacted John and he quickly returned are call. Everyone had a wonderful and relaxing week. This is the house to rent on the lake. Thanks John.
Lake Lure leisure
Great property. Everyone had plenty of room to enjoy themselves and not be crowded. Since we love to cook, we spent a lot of family time in the huge kitchen.
The outdoor space is beautiful. Covered patios, ceiling fans, couches, chairs, and a hot tub.
Best of all the boat house and the lake. Kayaking, floating, fishing or just hanging out enjoying all the wildlife, it was everything we were hoping for.
spectacularly clean and everything you would need
This property is broken into a few sections so many families can stay at once. There is a separate "mother-in-law suite" with 2 bedrooms and everything you need to be self sufficient like a kitchen and washer/dryer. The downstairs has 3 bedrooms, one of which has 6 beds as well as a kitchen and washer/dryer and the main floor has one bed room but also a kitchen and washer/dryer. The Moore house is breathtaking from the functional layout to the views from every angle. If you have children, you can do no better than this as a lake house retreat. It was beyond comfortable and there is a very well stocked grocery just a couple of miles away. John was a very helpful and gracious host and when we return to lake lure, this is UNDOUBTEDLY the house we would rent again. My only regret is I can't give it 6 stars because it deserves every one of them,
Perfect House for family get away
Wonderful property. Gorgeous views. Attentive owner. New Carriage house is great.
We will return.
Great weekend at Lake Lure!
We had a wonderful Easter weekend at the Moore lake house. We had everything we needed and John Moore was great to work with. He was very responsive and accommodating! I would highly recommend staying at their beautiful house!
Moore House - Lake Lure, NC
Great house! Great time! We stayed at the Moore House for my wife's 60th birthday and the accommodations were perfect. Johnny Moore is the most attentive owner I've ever had the pleasure of renting from. Any questions, concerns or need; all we had to do was call him and he was there immediately. Best trip we've had in a long time. Will definitely go back!!!
