First off I want to say that this is a positive review but I am going to be very detailed so some of the cons I list may not even be cons for you. I just like to share as much as I can in a review because I make a lot of vacation decisions based on reviews.
The good- condo was as advertised, balcony ocean view, convenient to your room parking, nice main living area and main bathroom, balcony had 4 chairs and a side table, price I paid was way less than what I have paid in my past 2 visits to the area, good manager communication and assistance, touchpad keyless entry enables all guest access and prevents expensive key replacements and also boosts security, pool looked nice but we never used it, area itself seemed safe and there are permanent residents mixed with vacationers which seems to make a place quieter and more secure, separate wall a/c units in BRs and living room so everyone can keep it the temperature they like, well stocked pots pans glasses and plates, linens provided at no additional cost.
Cons- Very weak WiFi (If that matters to you), bedroom doors were swelled and wouldn’t close all the way and 2nd bed room smelled dampish (related to heightened cleaning?), master bathroom dated and had a big chunk of ceiling texture missing from possible water leak or an extremely long hot shower, on 4th story with no elevator (this was the toughest thing by far), master bed sagged to the middle, small 2nd bed in double room didn’t seem sturdy enough for someone over 100 lbs but we didn’t test it.
I would definitely recommend this place if you don’t have any physical issues and are fine with stairs and the beach is #1,2,3 on your list. I think this condo was a great deal being on the ocean front with a side balcony view of the ocean. I wanted to include the few cons because if those things are really important to you then this place might not be a good fit for you.
Also as an FYI I was very impressed with how seriously the Strand seems to be taking Covid. Only 1 time at the beach did anyone set up chairs closer than 6 feet from us and at no point was anyone close to us in the water. The stores and restaurants workers were all masked and so were all but a handful of people shopping or walking in and out of restaurants. None required on beach.
The Strand was a ghost town compared to normal July and no traffic to speak of. It’s good for you but terribly sad for all the business owners and employees.
