About this property

HOT TUB, COMMON AREAS, AND POOL TABLE AREAS ALL CLOSED DUE TO COVID-19.

El Rancho Grande at La Junta Guest Ranch is a very comfortable cabin-suite which has just undergone an extensive remodel to add 6 all new bedrooms, including one king suite with private bath and fireplace, and a queen suite with private bath and fireplace. One room has two twin over full bunks, another has a queen bed ond one set of twin bunks, and there are two other queen bedrooms, to make a total of 18 sleeping spaces in this unit. In addition, there are 2 other bathrooms, a brand new kitchen and living room with local-rock fireplace, 65" flat-screen TV, washer/dryer, and the 6 person hot tub is just a few steps out the back door.

Watch the sun come up fiery red over the Capitan mountain range on the front porch, or the courtyard is just out your back door, with lots of seating for hanging outdoors with family and friends, where you'll find gas grills, a horseshoe pit and the hot tub.

At the front of the property is the Main Lodge, where you'll find the pool table and a very comfortable living area with beautiful flagstone fireplace.

You'll see deer roaming the property and don't be surprised to see the VIPs (Very Important Ponies - the Free-Roaming Horses of Alto) wandering through, as well as the occasional fox, elk, jackrabbits and cottontail rabbits. Bring your camera and your best smile!

You'll love the serenity of this semi-secluded location in the tall pines, where you'll seldom hear a car, yet you're only 10 minutes from the heart of Ruidoso and closest to the ski area!

Hot Tub is not in use due to Covid-19 at this time.

Pet Deposit $250 - refundable if no damage/mess. Pet fee of $50/pet will be collected from the Pet Deposit. If damage/mess is caused by pets, your credit card will be charged for the difference.

Birthday celebration

Over all the place was nice. Spoke with management about some minor cleaning issues, dishes/pans in cabinets were dirty and grill outside was extremely dirty. Not enough supplies in kitchen, like trash bags, dish towels, paper towels, dish soap, had really old sponges to wash dishes and no dish washer pods: basic cleaning supplies. The unit was newly renovated very nicely but the beds probably need some updating (better mattresses).

Nice hide away for extended family

Great property for the extended family. We had 4 couples, 4 single adults, one child and an infant with plenty of space to play board games, prepare meals, serve buffet style and still could get away to your room for “down” time. We did not utilize the common spaces on the community property. The only downside that my family mentioned was the mattresses throughout the house were extremely hard and the El Rancho Grande unit we were in had very little space for parking (6 bedroom w/3 parking spaces). It was also unclear which was our unit because it was the only one without a Name Plaque at the door. Overall it was a great unit and we enjoyed our time in Ruidoso.

God was on the mountain

My church group went and stayed at this lovely property . We worshipped and had study . This place has all of what we needed and plenty of room . We will see you again years. God was definitely on the Mountajn
