Wonderful lake house!
Our family loved this house! We brought a boat and enjoyed the lake. It’s a great spot in a cove.
We had an absolutely fantastic time! My husband and I stayed downstairs with a king bed, sofa tv seating area, access to the lake and a private bathroom. My daughter and her husband and our other daughter and her friends stayed in the two rooms on the main floor. We cooked a few nights, the kitchen has everything you need, made margaritas at the bar, went out to eat a few nights and floated in the lake all day. I highly recommend renting a pontoon boat. It’s so worth it. We used Lake Lure Adventure Company. You can see it from the deck. We went to Chimney Rock, all the way to the top! Having laundry on site was very convenient for a mom. Tim was very helpful setting everything up and answering any questions. I just want to go back 😩. Such great family memories. You all have a beautiful lake cabin!
Brooke, We are so happy that you and your family had such a great time! Memories like this are priceless. Lake Lure is a magical location. We hope you visit again. Thanks, Tim
Our family had such a great time at Lake Lure! This home on the lake was perfect. We will certainly visit again. Great location.....great time. House was clean and had everything we needed for our home away from home.
Thanks for letting us know! We are glad you had a great stay and enjoyed yourselves. Thanks, Tim
Great house on the lake, perfect location.
We had a wonderful week at Lake Lure with with our family of five and our dog Lucy. The location was perfect, an easy drive to Ingles and Dollar General put anything that we needed or forgot within close range. The lake beach looked like a lot of fun. Lake Lure Adventure Company was just around the corner and we spent a wonderful morning on a rented pontoon boat from them. The town of Chimney Rock was right down the road with plenty of cute shops and restaurants. We visited the Burntshirt tasting room, the Chimney Rock Cafe and the Hickory Nut Gorge Brewery. They were all great. We also took a walk over the flowering bridge and along the river walk.
The house itself was lovely and cozy. Next time we would bring our own pillows but the beds were comfortable. We did not try out the sofa beds. The lake views out almost every window were perfect. We spend a lot of time out on the deck. Next time if we had room we might also bring a couple of beach type lounge chairs. There was a picnic table as well as a 6 seat table with a big umbrella. This was a wonderful table that we used for almost all of our meals.
The house is located on a quiet little street that was a perfect place to walk the dog and enjoy the views. We loved using the canoe and it was a short paddle to the left around the corner and under the little bridge to see the amazing mountain views and sunsets. We did lots of jumping off the deck and sunning on the floating dock. We noticed that we could have picked up an inexpensive float from either Ingles or Dollar General. They have good sized floats at Ingles already inflated for 10 bucks. That would have been a lot of fun to float around the lake on one of those. The grill was not functioning but the owner Tim offered to have it replaced right away. We cooked almost all of our dinners for the week in the kitchen and it was well equipped with everything that we needed. Tim even made sure we had a blender for our frozen cocktails!
We had a wonderful week at this great house and hope to return again some day!
Katie, Thank you for all of the information that will be helpful to future guests. I learned a few good things in your review as I have not visited the Burntshirt Tasting Room yet, but will on my next return. Sometimes we leave floats left by other guests, but we have received negative comments regarding the floats. Hard to decide what to do sometimes regarding them. The grill has been replaced since your visit. We hope you return again in the future. Thanks so much for the kind words, Tim
This home is in the perfect location. Close to everything but with a quiet cove. Owner was very pleasant to work with.
Great accommodations, right on the water
We loved staying at the cabin. It was super clean and so convenient to the water. Fabulous for families coming with small children or pets since it was fenced in. The kitchen is recently renovated and well-equipped. Beds are very comfortable and the master downstairs was spacious.
Access to the water from multiple points made getting paddle boards, a kayak and swimming very easy. Big water views from the upstairs of the house are fabulous and make this a wonderful place to stay!
We are glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you return in the future.
