Spring Break Family Trip

Caca Cielo is amazing!! We didn't want to leave. We had 2 adults and 6 kids and we all were very comfortable with our sleeping arrangements. The setting is stunning and waking up to the sounds of nature was so very peaceful. We had rain each morning, but it cleared up for us to enjoy all of our excursions. Yoga and coffee each morning on the deck was awesome. Curt was a phenomenal host. Very informative and helpful throughout the entire process. Extremely responsive to any questions before and during our stay. We rented a car and headed into La Fortuna for all of our excursions. I bit of a drive, but well worth it. We ziplined, hiked to & swam in La Fortuna waterfall, white water rafted, and took a twilight tour on hanging bridges. Had a few meals in town, but preferred our meals at Casa Cielo. The chef was outstanding. Breakfast each morning was amazing and we had her cook our first dinner. Overall, we loved our time at Casa Cielo and would return if ever in La Fortuna again!!

Gorgeous Property!

Our stay was far too short but very memorable. Enveloped in nature, this home exudes peace and contentment. Carl, the owner, welcomed us upon our arrival. He was a constant fixture, regaling us with the stories of his amazing life and the restoration of the land surrounding his property. We opted for dinner one of the evenings; breakfasts were included. Both were plentiful and delicious! The tilapia was fresh caught and exquisite! Even our 7 year old picky eater went back for seconds. We look forward to a return visit!

Vacation of a lifetime

I am 44 years old and have never written a review before, but in this case i feel compelled to do so. This was without doubt the best vacation my family and i have ever had. The location was wonderful, and the trip was made by the magic of the house and grounds, and the hospitality extended to us by curt and vielka. Curt has spent over 20 years painstakingly restoring the local rainforest and his property is nested in the middle of this paradise. His local knowledge and crusade for environmental betterment and sustainability is both fascinating and refreshing. Vielka is an outstanding cook, lovingly preparing local dishes from the vast array of produce grown on-site. We were made to feel so welcome, and loved every second of this trip; i cannot recommend it highly enough. Curt and Vielka - our sincere thanks again for making this a vacation of a lifetime for us. Pura vida!
