A home away from home.
The host: Exceptionally kind, caring, informative, genuine, and exceedingly helpful. This was our first port of call on our one year stay in France. I can honestly say that had it not been for our hosts generosity with her time and assistance our journey in France would not have started on such a lovely note.
Florence our host was so welcoming we were invited into her home for boards games and afternoon teas. It hard to imagine that any other host would extend such a welcome. As well, initiated communication with other tenants, so an afternoon aperitif with the other guests was not unusual and very welcoming. Hello to Harry and Michael if they ever read this review.
Our small dog Gus loved the company of the host’s dog Sally. They played for hours on end, and I know the our boy Gus will miss Sally very much indeed.
The property: Very comfortable, clean, very well equipped with an open plan kitchen and lounge, separate bedroom and bathroom. The property is situated in a lovely suburb just 12 minutes from the heart of Strasbourg. There is a Carrefours Express, organic supermarket and bakery all within easy walking distance. A car is probably essential, however, there is Bus number 17 that can take you into Strasbourg.
Our overall experience: Can’t rate this host or property high enough. We will never forget our hosts kindness and will definitely find the time to return in the future. An absolutely wonderful stay.
