Farm Life
We found our time there very relaxed and comfortable. The area is extremely pleasant, and very easy to access. There are plenty of places to see in a reasonabley close proximity and can highly recommed a trip to Raglan and the Bridal Veil Falls. The pleasant nature of Pam and Malcolm made us feel very comfortable and the tour of the farm is well worth the time. Thoroughly enjoyed our sty and highly recommend taking the time to view it.

Absolute NZ !
The cottage and farm surroundings are exactly as detailed - private and quiet - but with Pam and Malcolm going about their farming next door, they are on hand if needed. We sat on the balcony sipping Sav before getting all physical and walking up the hill and across the fields, where we sat looking at the amazing views. A real get away from it all place - but at the same time with everything you need in the cottage - comfy bed, big new fridge, modern cooker and excellent shower. 100% recommended!

Tranquil and relaxing
Tranquil setting to get away from the noisy city. Quaint cottage with efficient heat pump for those brisk mornings. Lovely linens supplied too.

Peace and Tranquillity
We were very happy staying here and would love to visit again one day. The farm is way out the back and far away from noise, pollution etc. We loved the birdsong, and working farm sounds. The cottage is very cosy & cute, well maintained and historic. Our hosts were very welcoming and looked after us well. All in all we could highly recommend this property for those wanting a peaceful few days away from it all.

Malcolm was born and raised on Harding Farm . His parents settled on this farm after World War 2, his father was a returned servicemen and his mother a nurse. Malcolm and his brother and two sisters grew up here and their families return here often to enjoy the open spaces and freedom with their own families.
Malcolm and I raised our two sons here and they are very attached to this special place as we all are. Anderson Cottage was built in 1910 and was used by the police as a small administration block. It was moved to the farm in 1969 so that Malcolm's mum Alison could have somewhere to put up her weaving loom and to put all her wool.
We renovated the cottage and added the deck, bathroom and kitchen in 2010.

Why they chose this property

We offer our guests a unique NZ experience when they stay with us. They are often happy to join in with farm activities such as feeding out to stock, or feeding young orphaned lambs by bottle.
There is a peaceful and serene atmosphere that is very relaxing, combined with the bird song and native birds that roost and fly around the garden , it is a welcome change from the hustle and bustle of cities and towns.
Hamilton is a 35 minute drive and has a world class themed garden area that is one of the most admired sites in the Waikato region, with the exception of Hobbiton, of course.

What makes this property unique

Breakfast on request (extra charge), modern up to date self contained cottage, cool in summer
