One of Piha's most beautiful and unique beach houses. Elevated on the ridge in South Piha means it is very private but has incredible beach front views. Originally built in the 1940's on one of the beach's prime locations, it's been added to and modernized giving the house a quirky, historical feel. The whole house has just been freshly decorated in a range of artistic Porters paint colours. The interiors of this stylish home have been used for several photo/film shoots. The open plan kitchen/dining/living area has french doors opening onto a large deck overlooking the ocean, and a beautiful rustic table and chairs for outdoor dining. Next to the living area is a cosy snug with an open fire place which also opens to the ocean and comfortable outdoor seating. The fabulous upstairs master bedroom has a balcony with more french doors overlooking Lion Rock and South Piha and round window so you can sit in bed and look over Piha's famous surf break. Downstairs are three more bedrooms each with very comfy queen sized double beds; a room leading onto the deck with stunning ocean views, opposite is a room looking on to the bush and mountain . The last bedroom has a double bed looking onto the front deck. This place is one of the most unique in Piha because it's so close to the beach but completely private at the same time. It has a outside bath so you can use in winter to steam at night under a starlit sky. The garden leads to a track to the beach and can be reached barefoot in one minute. It's the perfect place to unwind, walk, rest, have fun with friends. This is not a party house though - many people want to rent it for this reason but due to previous bad experiences we do not rent it out for parties or events.
