As a recent guest said upon arrival " a wave of happiness has just come over me". Daisy Mae Beach home has endless sandy beaches, the sounds and smells of the waves and salt, and as you arrive at the home. Happiness will abound as you see the ocean just past the dune line!
WE ARE NOT STEPS FROM THE BEACH WE ARE ON THE BEACH! "As they put it in Florida were on the sand!"
Daisy Mae Beach Home has completed a 12-month remodel and the home is now beautifully updated! There are 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and sleeps 8. Newly furnished, the master bedroom has a white coastal set of pottery barn bead board furniture with a king bed , 40-inch TV, dresser and 2 night stands. This is a direct oceanfront home in private setting. Wonderful view from living, dining and kitchen as well as rear porch overlooking the ocean. Active turtle nesting area, in the season of March-October. The turtles frequently nest on the beach right behind the home. Some of these turtles are really big, and appear as large helmets as they exit and enter the sea! Also, there are turtle nesting tours (walks) at night at the Sebastian Inlet Park as well as the Archie Carr National Wildlife refuge, both parks close to the home., within a mile or two. Daisy Mae is located on a quiet stretch of beach with golden sand, thus its name "Ambersand Beach"!
Daisy Mae is close to the Sebastian Inlet and state parks as well as the Vero Beach Disney Resort. Sebastian Inlet is known to be one of the best surfing areas in Florida and they frequently have competitions there, and lessons are also offered. The inlet is also known for its excellent fishing! You can see the Sebastian Inlet Jetty from the beach at this home if you look North on a sunny day.
Beach activities are on a non-crowded, quiet oceanfront just next to the backyard of this home. Close to grocery and restaurants. Home remodeled extensively completed in 2018, new kitchen with shaker cabinets, and glass back splash with granite and island, slate appliances, all new bathrooms, new interior shaker doors, and a beautiful real wood floor made in the USA!
This home has a quaint cottage atmosphere, with tropical colors and furnishings inside. The living room has a 55-inch TV which is mounted to the wall and easily positioned for viewing. The dining table will seat 6 and there is additional seating at the bar. The furniture in the living and dining area is from pottery barn and made of real wood, which compliments the home! There is a new high efficiency washer and dryer. Both TVs (master, family,) have Cable Provided by Comcast with free channels. For International guests the house is equipped with a land line phone including free international calls!
The back porch looks directly over the Atlantic and is a wonderful place to sit and relax while listening to the waves roll in. There is a picnic table for eating outside while enjoying the beautiful back yard leading to the beach. The home has beach umbrellas, beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, and various sand toys!
This area has world class fishing. You can fish from shore, or hire one of our local captains, to take you on an exciting expedition. This home is located near the Sebastian Inlet to the Atlantic for easy access to the ocean. There are 3 parks/ nature preserves located within a very close proximity. For the kids, we are just 4.5 miles from the Disney Resort in Vero Beach, Florida.
Vero Beach was voted one of Florida's Top beaches by USA Today calling it the 'true gem of the Florida Treasure Coast'. The area has an absence of high rises and has an abundance of parks and wildlife refuges. Often while visiting the beach you may find yourself alone, with wildlife including birds, dolphins, and sea turtles. And if you like to fish there is great action right there on the seashore! There are 3 beach cruisers for bicycling. The Central Beach area has a farmer's market on Saturdays from 8 till 12 that offers a variety of fresh vegetables, precooked foods a assortment of other local goods and seafood. Many guests that have visited this home have combined it with a vacation that included Disney World as well as a stay at the beach.
This area of Florida is known as the Treasure Coast. In 1715 a fleet of Spanish Galleons was headed from Cuba to Spain and they were filled with treasures including gold and silver. They encountered a hurricane and sunk with all their treasures on board. To this day gold and silver coins are found along this stretch of beach! The McLarty museum is one mile from this home and has excellent artifacts that have been preserved from these vessels. Treasure hunting is a great activity and is enjoyed by many.
We have taken care to stock this beach home, so that all you will really need is your suitcase and personal belongings.
This home sits close to multiple parks and spectacular wildlife! The Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge, the first refuge in the US is 7/10 of a mile South of this home. The refuge has free admission and also offers tours! The Historic Jungle trail is also 7/10 of a mile South as it meanders through the refuge with its tropical shaded hammock. A view into "Old Florida" The Jungle Trail, provided a way for citrus growers to get their produce to market. It is a great place to hike or ride one of the three bikes provided at this home, as the road is unpaved and provides shade through much of its 5-mile-long path. McCleary's Museum is 1 mile north and the Sebastian Inlet State Park is 1.5 miles North of this home. The Sebastian Inlet State park and it surrounding water offers some of the finest fishing in Florida. The area also has some of the most consistent surf in Florida and is a great place to watch a competition or take surfing lessons!

Not Quite as Described
2 bikes, not 3, one of the two did not work due to very rusty chain. No "canoe/kayak." Malfunctioning gas grill. Inoperable bedside lamp. Really gross collection of sand and dirt and hair around box spring. Soap and shampoo dispensers in shower stall clotted with dried up product. Broken lock on storage garage. Incorrect directions to enter house keylessly, when in fact a key was required, and which we found by chance after hunting and struggling to impossibly input a code after a 9 hour ride. Inaccurate wifi info. Sticky greasy kettle. I would have written to explain issues, but had written with a question on the 15th that was not answered until midweek into our stay, the 21st. Neighbor met us with shouted questions such as are we the cleaners, how long are we staying, do we know outside lights are not allowed? But was too hard of hearing to understand our answers, while meanwhile we were struggling to activate the non existent keyless code. Beautiful spot on the beach, comfortable indoor sitting area; washer and dryer and dishwasher in good working condition. Fridge clean, floors clean. Plenty of towels.

Fabulous property and amazing location
This was our second stay at this vacation home and we loved it as much as our first visit. The house has everything you could need for a comfortable vacation. The location couldn't be better - literally on the beach and we barely saw anyone in the 9 nights we were there. The house was very clean and has quality furnishings. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

Why they chose this property

Great region for wildlife, such as birds and turtle nesting. The beach is so beautiful you can walk endless miles on it without looking back. Spend wonderful time playing in the ocean with the bogie boards. It is peaceful and quiet beach paradise!!!! We are so happy and lucky to have this home.

What makes this property unique

This is a quaint oceanfront home with a wonderful view of the Atlantic and has a quiet secluded beach.
This home is located in an area of parks and preserves. Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge is part of the Everglades Headwaters complex, located just off the western coast of Orchid Island in the Indian River Lagoon. It is 7/10 of a mile just south of this home. You can easily ride one of the bikes supplied at the home, to this preserve. This is also the location of the Historic Jungle trail. A sand road that was used to move citrus to market on Orchid Island. The road is covered by a tropical hammock of trees and is a great place to ride a offering shade through "Old Florida". The Historic Jungle trail passes through the wildlife refuge. The refuge and the jungle trail are free and refuge also offers tours. Established by an executive order of President Theodore Roosevelt on March 14, 1903, Pelican Island was the first National Wildlife Refuge in the United States. It was created to protect egrets and other birds from extinction through plume hunting. It is also an important breeding grounds for brown pelicans.
Just North of the home is the McLarty Museum (less than 1 mile) and the Sebastian Inlet State Park, (1.5 miles away). This home is not located around high-rises! It is on a tiny strip of an island, with abundant wildlife and parks! The beaches are non-populated and the wildlife is abundant!
