About Michael Thompson
Have enjoyed living in the Vail Valley since 1991. Been investing in this market for a decade now. Mostly long term rentals but a handful of short term or nightly rentals. As a local realtor, I know and understand the numbers.
Michael Thompson purchased this Condo in 2008

So agree. Come back anytime.
The hotel and unit were very nice. Everything was easy and flexible.
Great room and beautiful hotel/area
The Westin was an incredibly beautiful hotel and we enjoyed all the amenities. Where the room was wonderfully pet friendly and had great access to the outdoors from the ground level, the hotel as a whole was not a pet friendly as we would've liked. Couple things that would've been nice had they been provided would be dish soap/sponges and shower caps. Overall great stay and would love to go back!!
Beautiful unit At the Westin
Lovely unit bathed in morning sun. Modern clean lined style. It's so convenient to skiing, we think <100 steps to the gondola. The Westin also has an hourly shuttle to Vail, dropping off at the Transit Center. The Westin also had live music every night during our visit.
Bring bar soap, also a sponge and dish detergent if you plan to cook in the unit. Note: there's a mini fridge but no freezer. Also, you can't check in before 4pm.
Great place with nice amenities and super convenient to the Beaver Creek resort
My family and I enjoyed a wonderful weekend at the Westin and skiing at Beaver Creek. The property is well maintained and in great shape. This unit is conveniently close to the main lobby and the elevators to the pool and hot tubs. Kids had a great time - we'll definitely be back.
Loved it for the most part
The studio was comfortable and well furnished. We loved the gas fireplace. For a small space it is extremely well designed. It was great for our dog as there is a door opening directly to the outside where there is a walking path as well as a large open area on the other side of the fence. The Westin is a great place to stay and the staff were friendly and helpful. The resort fee includes access to all the amenities -- free ski storage, health club, pool and hot tubs. Parking is steep at $30 a day, which adds up to a lot for a prolonged stay. However, one could get by without a car fairly easily. We were there for 3 weeks and changing sheets and towels is only possible if you do you own laundering or pay extra for room cleaning. However there was an ample supply of towels and we were able to do laundry at a friend's home nearby (there are also washing machines in the hotel). Absence of terry robes (which are provided for people who book through the hotel) was disappointing (maybe they could be issued with a refundable deposit). Consider weekly room cleaning and changing sheets for long term stays since this would have to be done anyway for weekly rentals.
Michael was easy to reach and available to answer questions.
Access to Vail and Beaver Creek is easy via the Westin's shuttle bus; the gondola (which wasn't running the first week in December) takes you to Bachelor's Gulch.
World Class Gym, yoga, pilates, and cycling studios (all classes at a fee) with onsite restaurant called 'Cima.'
