Lots of unwanted guests

The property and location were great, and it would have been perfect except for one thing: there were mice everywhere! Within ten minutes of our arrival we saw mice upstairs and downstairs. The property obviously wasn't very clean and had some odors. We contacted the property manager and they sent pest control out the next morning. They caught several mice the first few days, but we were unable to leave food anywhere except in our coolers and in the refrigerator. Six days after we checked in we had mice eating our bagels on the kitchen counter overnight. We turned the oven on three days into our vacation and the smell was terrible. Pest control came out and found a dead mouse stuck in the wires behind the oven. Management was responsive to our complaints but were unable to find another property to relocate us. They did agree to a partial reimbursement of our fees, but overall the quality of our vacation was significantly degraded due to the fact that there were rodents everywhere. We would have much preferred to have paid full price and have had a mice-free vacation.
