About Patricia Hunter
My husband is a South Carolina attorney and I am a licensed real estate agent and broker in charge of Charleston Realty, LLC. We initially purchased our downtown condo as a second home and began renting it in 2007. We live at Folly Beach, about 15-20 minutes from downtown. It is my policy to meet our guests when they arrive and upon their departure. Whenever guests are staying at our condo, I make certain that I am available 24 hours by mobile phone and home land line. If, for any reason, I am out of town, I have a family member or close friend fill in for me.

Why Patricia Hunter chose Downtown Charleston
I don't think you would find a better location - close to everything, but away from noise and college area. Even Harris Teeter, a local grocery store, is just a short walk from our place.
What makes this Condo unique
Location, Location, Location! And, nice furnishings and cleanliness - We have a "no street shoes inside" policy. I personally clean our place to my standards since my husband and I stay there from time to time. I have never had any complaints!
100% refund if cancelled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Easy to work with! Beautiful place, great area.
Wonderful stay, great area, beautiful home, easy to work with!
In The Heart of Downtown Charleston
Four weeks in the condo went by quickly. Having a private entrance and a gated driveway was a perk. My husband and I have stayed 3 consecutive Januarys in downtown Charleston. This location was the closest to the heart of Charleston. The kitchen was nicely redone, the washer dryer combo made laundry easy, and the bed was most comfortable. Despite being 515 sq feet, the condo had a spacious bedroom and an updated bathroom that included a tiled shower. The owners are easy to contact and respond to questions and any issues in a timely manner.
Couldn't be more perfect!
I stayed in Unit C for 2 months while exploring downtown Charleston.
The location was incredible! I could walk to restaurants on East Bay, go shopping on King, pick up groceries at Harris Teeter, and walk everywhere else so easily. Even though it was right in the middle of everything, it was also very quiet. I stayed there alone and I felt very safe, especially, because it had a secure parking spot. The neighbors were very friendly and although I was only there a short time, I definitely felt like I was part of the neighborhood.
The apartment was so quaint! It was the perfect size for me and all of my clothes! The kitchen had everything I needed to make meals, the cable had more channels than I have at home, and the bed was really comfortable.
But most important, the landlord, Patty, was SO helpful. She was very responsive to my emails before I arrived, met me at the unit when I got in, had plenty of literature about what to do in Charleston, came to fix minor work orders immediately, met me when I checked out, and was all around a true pleasure. After trying for months to find a place to stay, I was grateful that Patty answered my first email and had a unit available for me.
I liked it so much, I even toured one of the other available units in the building that was for sale. I would definitely recommend this unit to anyone who has the luxury of spending a month or more in Charleston!
My favorite place
I just returned home after having spent the most wonderful time in the heart of downtown Charleston, and within walking distance of everything you could ever want in a beautiful City. The condo was impeccable...very clean, lots of light, quaint and it didn't lack anything, including all of the charm that made us feel right at home! The owner was delightful and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed! We walked everywhere, however, there is free on-site parking if you prefer to drive without the worry of losing your parking space. If you prefer to eat in, the kitchen is perfect and there is even a grocery store only a block away. With everything conveniently located and the wonderful accommodations, I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else the next time we visit. Thank you Patty!
I stayed in apartment C for several months. Patty is a gracious host and extremely helpful. The unit itself was cozy and modern. The kitchen was perfect, with all new appliances and plenty of cupboard space. I liked the fact that I was able to walk to most of the historic spots. It truly is in the middle of downtown Charleston. The fact that there was private parking made it even better. There are plenty of restaurants and bars well within walking distance. Even though I was in Charleston for work, being here made it feel like a vacation. I would stay here again and would recommend it to my friends and family.
Thank you for the nice review. Look forward to having you at 53 Hasell again! Sincerely, Patty
This condo is outstanding. My husband & I were extremely comfortable & very welcomed by the owner. Thanks for the flowers & wine, Patty. We stayed a week & it was hard to leave. The condo was either near attractions or a free trolley bus ride away. The provided free car parking was a plus. We discovered we loved the nearby grocery store, Harris & Teeter. Our favorite restaurants were Toast, Hyman's Seafood & Noisy Oyster, all within walking distance of the condo.
It was a pleasure having you as our guests. Thank you for taking the time to write this nice review. Hope to see you again soon!
Charleston is a peninsula. Beaches on nearby barrier islands are a 15-20 minute drive on weekdays; weekend traffic during summer months can be quite heavy.
