About this property

This lovely two story contemporary home has lots of glass to enjoy the views of Fishing Creek and the Chesapeake Bay. Sunsets are always different and always beautiful. This is a home designed for entertaining with a big kitchen and a dining room that seats 12. There is a screened in porch and a large deck overlooking the water both that can seat 8 for relaxed conversation and dining. When not rented the home is the residence of the owner.

There is a beach for swimming available to tenants. The home has a Steinway grand piano in the living room and hardwood floors on the first floor. The second floor bedrooms have new carpeting and fabulous water views.

Beautiful view and deck

Loved the home, please check the sleeping arrangements when booking. if you have a large party, (we were a group of 6 and were very comfortable ) be aware there are several full size beds. they would be uncomfortable for 2 adults. Main level is terrific, great couches and views. kitchen was dated but very accommodating. Upstairs rooms were fine but bathrooms could use an update. The views of the bay make it so worth it!

Picturesque

The house is tucked away in a neighborhood with a lot of character. The house was inviting and had plenty of room for the family to enjoy the indoors and outdoors. The view from the deck is stunning. We didn't catch any fish while we were there, but enjoyed the opportunity to try. Parking was a bit tricky for 3 vehicles, but not too much of an inconvenience. The home is decorated with treasures from a very full family life and we enjoyed getting to know Marc and his family through the pictures on display. Marc was very accommodating and responsive and made the process very easy.

Beautiful!!

Fantastic location and house is perfect for taking in the beautiful views and hanging outside. Also provided nice access to water as well for kayaking, swimming and small sailboat.

Unclear information

I will start out by saying that the deck, and the view from the deck, we’re absolutely gorgeous. The neighborhood was great. I think most of the misgivings that I have regarding my stay relates to the fact that I was unaware that the owner lived in the house, until I arrived. He was actually leaving the house with his luggage when we were coming in. Marcs greetings were less than welcoming, he asked us to wait outside because he wasn’t ready, then when we entered he asked that we don’t wear shoes on the hardwood floors. Only upon arrival was I advised that only had half of the refrigerator and half of the freezer were available for our use. There was only one small portion of a cabinet in the kitchen for our use. The situation was similar in every bedroom room, only a small section of closet was available for our use, the rest of the closets were extremely cluttered with the owners belongings. The fifth bedroom was part of the laundry room which was explained in the description of the property. But once again so much clutter from floor to ceiling on the other walls made it very uncomfortable. When I mentioned to Marc that I was afraid we would not have enough room in the refrigerator he told me to use the cooler that was outside. The cooler was in a open shed and was very dirty from the elements. I don’t think I should have to use a cooler. When we remove the garbage bags from the kitchen garbage cans, the cans were very dirty inside. When we turn on the oven we noticed a strong smell of grease only to find a used, unclean pan in the oven. I understand that when renting there are sometimes things that are not exactly as you would like them to be and one or two items can be overlooked. But the fact that this property was not listed as owner occupied, the overall clutter and limited use of space was a little too much. I have rented before, and have a rental property. I would never rent my place in the condition that this house was in. Marcs responses to my concern were dismissive at best
