House, 1 Bedroom + Den, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-3)
I'm Karen & worked as a LA teacher before coming on board as an educational diagnostician (assessing children for special needs). I resigned my LA position June 2012, and as of August 2012, I am now teaching a special needs class in nearby MS. My husband, Donald, is a retired security officer from a LA state inmate facility. He and I have owned rental property for the past 25 years and we renovate our own properties. We renovated a house in MS a couple blocks from the Gulf which Katrina claimed in 2005. We looked on the bright side and bought a house in Pigeon Forge 2006: Bear Creek Lodge. We are building back on our lot in Bay St. Louis, MS, so remember us if you are planning a trip to the mountains or to the beach. We are blessed to live on LA/MS line where we can go back & forth for important things: LA: grandchildren and church; MS: beach and school children. The most important things in our lives are God, our children, grandchildren, family and friends.
Karen purchased this Cottage in 2007
Why Karen chose Pigeon Forge
I feel the presence of God daily, but when I take a scenic ride through Smokey Mt. National Park or Cades Cove, I think of how great my God must be that He spoke this existence into place. I've vacationed here for many years and owning a piece of property here was a far-away dream, but God made it a reality in 2006 when we purchased Bear Creek Lodge in Pigeon Forge. God blessed us with guests like you to rent it; however, being an educator, it was always rented during summer and holidays when I could visit. A year later, in 2007, while looking for a piece of property to park our camper, we stumbled upon this awesome place in Wears Valley. After renovations, we not only had a piece of the mountain to park our camper on, but two more additional nightly rentals. He gave us more than one piece of the mountain. We invite you, our family and friends, to visit and enjoy a piece of the treasure with us.

Fun Time with Family
Karen we had a wonderful time at the little cottage. Location was great. View was amazing.
The Cottage was great and clean. Very spacious for two people. Very close to Pigeon Forge. I would love to stay again.
Had a great time!! The cottage was perfect!!
Cute cottage, exactly what we wanted for a quiet getaway and a great value to boot! Close enough to enjoy Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge but far enough out that if we didn't want to mess with the tourist trap we didn't have to. Really enjoyed the front porch and hot tub.
We had a wonderful stay at lil apple bear cottage! Everything was as described on VRBO, Karen had left a detailed list at the cottage for us with some place that her family enjoys on the area too, which was very helpful. Karen was also great by sending emails in the week prior with all information you will need regarding your stay which was so helpful! We loved the cottage it was perfect for our family and needs and if we come back to the Smokies this is where we will choose to stay! Thank you so much Karen!
Wonderful trip to Wears Valley
