Not Your Typical VRBO Experience

For the most part we enjoyed our stay in the cabin. It was decent sized for our family of 6. However, this is a true cabin- no air conditioning, limited cell service, and very spotty wifi (the majority of the time it did not work at all). The main lodge does have wifi and a cabin phone is provided. We had issues with our check-in and while we paid for 3 nights, we were told it was only 2 days. After a lot of back and forth with the professional service who manages this property for VRBO, we were able to get it figured out, but it did take several hours while on vacation to do so.

Okay Stay - Not cool Covid/ staffing limited service

Property was fine. Maybe a little farther from main areas of Grand Tetons, than we hoped, but not bad. If you're not used to higher elevation come prepared. Property is at 8,654 elevation. Limited menu in bar, restaurant not open. Described as such in information before reserving - so no surprise -- except basically only 4 sandwiches on menu. Cabin was decent - larger than expected. Little older appliances and such inside. Terrible wifi -- don't expect to watch any videos online while relaxing in the evenings. Still a good deal compared to surrounding area and especially for Jackson comparisons. If you're active all day --- good place to sleep.

Cabin stay

The cabin we stayed in at the Togwatee Lodge was technically close to Grand Teton Natl Park, but still 16 miles away from any park entrance. It was so far out we almost turned around thinking we were lost. Communication with VRBO was lacking - no check in or check out procedures. No pre-arrival email with directions like we’ve had before. But, the beds were clean, the staff was super friendly and efficient. The cabins need serious updating though.
