About Alice Burston
David and I have lived for several years in Venice. I'm a California native and David joined me from England in 2003. We both lead busy lives but have been so happy in running our new Vacation Rental business. We have met wonderful people from all over the world. We love Venice and hope you will too. You will never be bored in Venice. You can veg out or be in a whirlwind of vacation activity and you never know what movie star you might see! Venice weather is great too!
Alice Burston purchased this House in 2007
Why Alice Burston chose Venice
We built our vacation rental in Venice Beach because we love it here! Venice is a unique community with lots of interesting people, artists, musicians and just friendly Californians in general. We are a community in the midst of gentrification but trying to keep our ethic past intact. What's not to like, 30 min. (if not traffic) into the heart of LA and a 10 min. walk to a beautiful beach. Weather you can't beat!

Very clean and comfortable!
Very clean and could fit a family of five. A little tight but not too bad because so much great outdoors space. In terms of location, we loved being close to Whole Foods but it was a long walk (about twenty minutes) to the beach. Lots of great restaurants!!
Great value and experience
My second time staying here - great area and met all our needs once again. Owners responsive and reliable. Highly recommend
Best little spot in Venice!
Fantastic house! Perfect size for my husband, me, our 15 year old son and his best friend who traveled with us. Great space to hang out as a group to watch a movie or have breakfast out on the patio, but then also everyone had space to hang on their own too. Very comfortable and instantly cozy.
Easy walk to the beach, or Abbot Kinney, and an equally easy Uber or Lyft into downtown LA. We came with our teen boys and they had a blast renting the Lyft bikes to zip around down to the Venice Beach strip and then over to the Santa Monica Pier. Lots of great restaurants and cozy little bars just a few blocks away too (really recommend Wallflower). We would definitely recommend!
WE had a wedding in the Venice area and this was the perfect place to attend to everything. It was our daughter's wedding. The bride relaxed on the patio the morning of and found some peace for the day. It was a true home away from home feeling. Would highly recommend for a family with children close to the beach and marketing ..
Great vibe and close to beach.
My four grandchildren (ages 16-21) and I so enjoyed our stay here. It was our first time in LA and this was the perfect home base for us. We loved the neighborhood. The walk down Rose St. to Santa Monica Beach was filled with great restaurants, shops and an artsy vibe. Whole Foods and CVS pharmacy are a half block away. Alice and David checked in on us to make sure we were settled in. Plenty of beach towels, books and games. Couldn't ask for a better first impression of the City of Angels.
So glad we could host your family holiday!
Can’t beat the location. Everything was easy and mellow. Great vacation spot for us and our kids. The outside sitting area with BBQ was wonderful.
Other Activities: go to the boardwalk
Golf: There is a public 9 hole golf course about 1/2 mile away. Penmar golf course. I have heard it is a nice course. This is a LA City owned course. There are also free, lighted tennis courts within walking or biking distance. There are 3 separate locations. We play on all of them and often you can walk right on.
Ski: We don't have snow but we do have the beach!!!
