About Brea Gratia & David Robinson
I, David, discovered Asheville when I first met Brea. She was very interested in living in Asheville and after knowing her for one month, she invited me to visit Asheville with her for the New Year. Even during the winter, we were hiking, visiting the Biltmore Estate and enjoying many outdoor activities. Brea achieved her goal - I did fall for the beauty of Asheville. After Brea's success in renting her Chalet Quietude, it seemed like the best way to invest and have a connection to Asheville. It's hard to travel anywhere when Asheville is calling. Brea manages my property and is very personable; making sure she establishes a quick relationship with each of our guests.

Why Brea Gratia & David Robinson chose Fairview
I wanted a property that was open with many windows, had great views and was located on a pristine mountain. When I first found the property, it needed some updating and TLC. After renovations, the Woodlands Chalet became a reality. One of the many reasons I fell for this property was the location and the forest. It is not far from downtown Asheville, yet located in a forest setting. The chalet is located at about 3400 feet altitude so summer's are cool and refreshing. It is a great place to sit on the deck and enjoy the sounds of nature.
What makes this Chalet unique
The woods - the forest...hence the name Woodlands Chalet. Open dining room with forest views on two sides is a great dining experience. Relaxing or dining on the deck in spring, summer and fall is the very best way to enjoy the Woodlands Chalet. The view and serenity is priceless. Enjoying the view from inside or out is refreshing and relaxing. The drive into Asheville is easy as well as going to get groceries. The chalet is also perfect for two families because of the two distinct living areas which provides for privacy of each family.

Our stay at Woodlands Chalet
This home was exactly what we were looking for, all the modern conveniences in a beautiful, private mountain setting, close to the Asheville scene but also far enough away from it all.
Thank you for you review. It was our pleasure to have you come stay and relax in our mountain home. We have many repeat guests and we certainly hope you choose to come stay again. It is amazing how such a short distance from downtown gives you a cooler (literally) experience of the mountains, the forest and a great mountain view. Thank you again for choosing the Woodlands Chalet for your vacation. Brea & David
We flew from Dallas to NC to enjoy some time in the Outer Banks to celebrate our 40th. Hurricane Dorian was approaching and the Outer Banks closed. We had nowhere to go and found this home in Fairview located in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The owner (Brea) was super accommodating. She was in Austin, TX at the time as her daughter was giving birth to her first grandchild. Even with all her personal business going on, she checked in on us and was there for us.
If you are looking for some solitude up in the Blue Ridge, this is the place for you.
WOW Matthew - thank you for taking the time to give a review We were delighted to have you come stay. Thank you also for mentioning that you felt cared for amidst my "personal business". My daughter had a fine baby boy after some serious struggle. She and baby are doing well. We hope you come stay with us again - the mountains are always a nice place to visit any time of the year. Thanks again. Brea & David
Relaxing chalet in the mountains
The Woodlands Chalet delivered exactly what it promised. My husband and our two friends found that the chalet provided ample space for two couples to have privacy while still feeling intimate and not excessively large. We were delighted to find that the hot tub had been preheated prior to our arrival. The driving directions provided helped us navigate the serpentine roads, and accessing the property was easy as pie. The location provides privacy and seclusion while still being accessible to the city of Asheville via Lyft/Uber. Highly recommended.
Thank you Bethany. We are happy you enjoyed your stay and that you found it all so easy. Of course, we think it's easy, but to hear our guests say that mean so much. We say we are detailed to the point of over-the-top details, but it's always best to have too much information than not enough when you are trying to relax and be on vacation and can find your way around or figure out how to operate something. Thanks for taking time to write about your stay and we do hope you visit again. Brea & David
Beautiful cabin, clean, wonderful view!
The cabin is very well taken care of and clean. Loved the big kitchen. It had everything we needed to cook a meal and not just with crappy leftover pots and pans, as you see at some places. They had plenty of glassware too. The hosts are EXTREMELY helpful and communicative! They even brought us an extra trash bag when the cleaning crew had forgotten to leave one.
The house is up a very big mountain! I didn't realize how far up we would have to go to enjoy that view, just don't forget to put your car in 1st or 2nd gear for the way down to avoid hurting your breaks. We took a Lyft to the city and to the Biltmore. Took about 25 minutes to get to both.
We had no problems while we stayed. Check out was easy.
We loved having you stay. We appreciate your review and hope you will consider staying with us again. The view does require some sort of climb and so worth it. Being nestled in the forest on such a pristine mountain makes it a fabulous place to wake up each day too. We, too, have stayed in places where you never have the things you need to cook with so we make sure you have all the tools necessary to make a meal - even a garlic press! Thanks again - hopefully we'll talk again soon. Brea & David
