East Oak Cabin - A modern yet rustic log cabin in Northern Arizona

Munds park is a hop, skip, and a jump from the hustle and bustle. 2 hours or less from just about anywhere in the Phoenix area, yet a world apart. At 6,500 feet elevation, you'll find an enjoyable outdoors wonderland, even in the heat of summer. Munds park is typically 25 degrees cooler than the valley. We also get to enjoy all four seasons up here in the mountains - Beautiful spring blooms, sunny summers with afternoon showers, stunning falls with changing colors, and of course winter snow! Munds Park is a quiet town with a population of less than 1,000! We do have several nice restaurants, a couple bars, and a golf course within walking distance - All with that small town feel.
Oak cabin offers a spacious and comfortable living area, with a beautiful view out of of the front panoramic window. Super comfortable leather couches, and newer mattresses as well. Enjoy the warmth of our faux wood stove while you play board games or snuggle up and watch Netflix with your loved one(s) Go visit Snowbowl, The Grand Canyon, or Sedona for an exciting day trip.

UPDATE SUMMER 2023: Due to several requests, we have upgraded the upstairs AC unit. Munds Park can get warm in the heat of summer, and now you can stay as cool as you'd like while indoors. The Split AC unit cools the entire upper living level quite nicely. Downstairs bedrooms naturally stay much cooler with no AC. Expect bedrooms to be approximately 75 degrees during the warmest summer days.

Guests please note - The exterior of our cabin has a security camera facing the front door that will always be active for your safety.

Anniversary Trip

My wife and I rented this beautiful cabin for our 20 year wedding anniversary. The cabin had everything we needed and more. The huge deck was great for eating outside and relaxing while reading a book. The master bedroom was perfect with the fireplace and a soaking tub in the mastet bath. Its definitely a 5 star stay.

Great cabin

Great location, great cabin. Master bed very comfy. Other beds too soft for our liking but great kitchen appointments and swing on deck was a big hit with the 3 year old and the adults.

Amazing cabin

We had a couple of people in the group who had never stayed in a cabin, so I wanted to find something that looked like a log cabin from the outside as well as the inside. Everyone was excited when they arrived because the listing was exactly like the pictures. The cabin was an easy access from the highway and a walking distance to the convenience store. We had a great time and would highly recommend.

Fabulous!

This house is absolutely gorgeous! The owners have thought of everything to make it cozy, comfortable and it’s impeccably clean! The kitchen has everything you need for meal preparation! There were 8 of us in our group -ages 33 - 77 and there was plenty of room! They have a great assortment of games - we played a lot of cornhole. The owners were responsive and even sent over a box of delicious cookies for us to enjoy. You will absolutely enjoy this property! 5 stars!!!

Peaceful cabin close to Interstate

This cabin checks all the boxes: clean and comfortable furnishings, safe and quiet neighborhood with easy access to the interstate. Close to Flagstaff and close enough to Sedona but much more laid back and relaxing. Outside seating area was perfect for unwinding after long days of hiking and sightseeing. Great little coffee shop down the road for your morning pick me up. We had a great time and wouldn’t hesitate to book again!

Nice place to stay.

Easy check-in. Place was clean. Had no issues during our stay. Would recommend for families of 5-8. Was about 40 minutes from Sedona, maybe 25 to flagstaff and an hour and half to the Grand Canyon.

Great Launching point to N. Az

Overall, the experience at the home was wonderful. The décor was very rustic and made you feel as if you were truly in a cabin. I thought there would've been slightly more privacy however, the neighbors were pretty close and there were camera's located across the property. Wes did let us know of the one in the living room which we disabled - we have small kids and didn't feel comfortable with them being recorded. All of the staple items were provided in abundance including laundry detergent - which we were really happy about. One of the drawbacks however was the property doesn't have central heat and air. It was strange - there was a separate heater in all the bedrooms, bathrooms, hall ways and 3 in the main living area making it very difficult to get the cabin to a stable temperature. Perhaps it was just me tho as I hadn't encountered that before. I would certainly recommend. Was worth the value.

Every member of the family agrees this place is a must!

This place is a must!!! What a fantastic time me and my family had here. This cabin was so freaking awesome, perfect inside and out, in a lovely neighborhood. Close by are 2 gas stations and a few nice restaurants/bars which was really convenient. Our trip was based on seeing the snow, and boy did we get it. The kids got to play out front every day and had so much fun! After snow time when we went back into the cabin, we would warm up really quick as this place really keeps the heat in nice. The host of the property was fantastic as well. He a fast reaponder and really wants to make sure your experience is the best. He is funny and kind, which really does help make the experience that much better. My whole family agrees that we must go back!! We can't wait to experience the snow once again and also can't wait to experience what this beautiful place can offer in the summertime. :) Moral of the story is... If you pass up on this place, youre missing out. :)

Loved the place. Weather was great, although it did get a little warm in the afternoons. Great little bar/restaurant right down the road. If your looking for a nice getaway, this is the place.

This was a Beautiful Property and I had a wonderful time with my boys!

The only thing I would mention is the spider webs. My boys wanted to sleep in the loft although the spider webs were to excessive so they slept down stairs. All in all I have no complaints the location was perfect and everything that you can imagine was right at your fingertips. This would be a home I would love to visit again in the future.

Awesome cabin

Wonderful cabin in a beautiful setting! Very enjoyable stay in the cabin because of the extra large and open designed gathering room. Great location with easy access. The main bedroom was very spacious, but at the cost of space in two of the other bedrooms. The loft bedroom is just precious!

Great stay

We had a great stay at this log cabin. Lots of family space upstairs for games and spending time together. The bedrooms are downstairs and were great! Everything was nice and clean. Definitely would stay here again.

Why they chose this property

Munds Park is only a 2 hour and 10 minute drive from just about anywhere in Phoenix. It is the closest mountain getaway that offers 4 seasons, along with lots of snow in the winter. We fell in love with East Oak cabin due to its rustic charm with modern amenities. A perfect place to relax with friends and family, but still close enough to Flagstaff, Sedona, Arizona Snowbowl, and much more! There's also just enough food and entertainment in Munds Park to keep us busy. The perfect balance for everyone
