A truly unique 4 season get-away!
Escape for 2 nights, a week or two (or longer!) for a lifetime of memories for everyone in your group.
Located 9 miles southeast of Black River Falls WI, in the pine forests of southeastern Jackson County, we're just down the road from 1000s of acres of undeveloped county forest land.
The woods team with birds and wildlife, the air is clean, crisp and quiet, and there's very limited public access to the lovely trout stream below Creekside and its neat 'swimming hole' and sand beaches.
If you're in the mood for dining, shopping, antiquing, boating, hiking, biking or to go to a water park, golf course or casino, that's all just 15 minutes away in Black River Falls.
Bring your fly rod and fish our stream for wild brown trout, native brook and rainbow; take a short drive to canoe and kayak the Black River or fish the Black River, Lake Arbutus and flowages for muskie, walleye and smallmouth bass; hunt for whitetail deer, ruffed grouse, wild turkey, ducks and geese; ice skate year-round at the Black River Falls rink; enjoy prime scuba diving at Wazee Lake - Wisconsin's deepest lake; hike, bike or ride the trails at the 68,000 acre Black River State Forest; experience the beauty of Ho Chunk culture at their Memorial Day and Labor Day weekend pow-wows or try your luck at the Ho-Chunk Casino!
Golf the 18 hole Skyline Golf Course in Black River Falls is a golfer's dream course - laid out over acres of undulating and wooded hills. The back 9 is especially scenic and well-designed as it carves its way through a beautiful oak and pine forest.
Do as much as you want or as little as it takes to rest, relax and get rid of the stress you've been carrying around. Stop looking at your watch or waiting for the phone to ring. You might even read a book or two. Or do nothing at all. Your peace , privacy and enjoyment is very important to us.
We're open the 1st of May through the first week of January, accept MasterCard and Visa and welcome your family dog(s) with open arms. Nightly K9 fees are: for 2 night stays, 1 dog = $15 per night, 2 dogs = $20 per night, 3 dogs = $25 per night. For 3 or more nights the fees are: 1 dog = $12 per night 2 dogs = $17 per night, 3 dogs = $22 per night.
When you compare what you've learned about Creekside to what you've read about other rental sites in our area, we'd like to suggest that you ask if there are any additional fees for extra vehicles, for WIFI and/or cable TV. Ask if the water is so clean you can drink it from the tap or will you have to bring along bottled water? We test our artesian well water every year to make sure it's safe for you to drink - so leave those fancy filters and expensive bottled waters at home! And, finally, ask if the property is licensed by the State of WI Health and Family Services to be open to the public. They'd need to pass a rigorous yearly inspection by a Health and Family Services inspector, like we do, to be properly licensed. And, boy, do those inspectors check everything to make sure you're coming into a home that's clean, safe and properly maintained for you and everyone you bring along with you to Creekside.

About Creekside Manager
We've been operating Creekside since the summer of 2004 and have been blessed with guests & K9s that have given us wonderful memories. Some have become friends for life. Many have taken the time to leave reviews in our guest book, and many others have posted them to this listing. Please do take the time to read the reviews folks have posted about us here on HomeAway. Reviews help travelers to "read between the lines" of what property owners and managers write. And, if you have any questions at all, just send us a note through HomeAway and we'll answer you right away.
What makes this Guest House unique
The house is located on its own acre of land that gives our guests a fun mixture of woods with mowed paths, outdoor badminton/volleyball game court, grill, fire pit, table & chairs, a furnished screen room and - best of all - easy private access to a beautiful trout stream. The house is filled with amenities you won't find in most summer rentals. A few quick examples: there's at least a dozen sets of china, flatware, glasses and bowls, coffee cups and wine glasses in the kitchen; there's not just salt & pepper to use, there's cooking & baking spices plus a handy supply of flour and sugar, even a coffee bean grinder; the laundry room has soap & fabric softener - even stain remover if you need it; each bed has at least two pillows - the queen bed has 5; the re's comfortable furniture in the living room - plus games, toys & books to read, a radio, and a whole cabinet full of DVD & VHS movies; the wrap-around deck doesn't have just one table, it has two, each with its own set of chairs, a large lounger and other side chairs with end tables and a really nice gas grill. Best of all: fabulous views of the woods, the stream and clear night skies. Creekside isn't just a place to visit, it's a little corner of heaven you have to see to believe. It's private and quiet. This is the 16th year we've been sharing it with guests who have brought us laughter, smiles, great stories, warm company and lots of funny, well-loved K9s.
