Enhanced cleaning practices
We enjoyed our trip! Property manager was easy to reach and helpful. The lake was flooded which made the water access more difficult but there was a boat ramp just down the block that worked well to put kayaks in. Bring your spices/foil/baggies but otherwise the kitchen was well stocked. The grill was super nice!
Room to spare in this house!
This house has LOTS of room! We really liked having separate areas for teens/adults. We were supposed to have 10 in this house but ended up with 8 people. There was plenty of room for be people to either be part of the group or be by themselves. Some issues for us were that the main living area did not have comfortable or adequate sitting and relaxing for all of us. Some of us had to either sit at the kitchen table or on floor. It would be nice to have a couple more comfy chairs to relax in. We were also disappointed that the pics show a recliner in the main living area and one in lower level. That was not the case. The lower level just has to the 2 couches and for us older folks that was a disappointment. The recliner on the main floor is for people under 5'5" and this was uncomfortable for our tall family. The sectional in the main floor is also uncomfortable. It might be something to look into upgrading. It would also be nice to have the black out curtains on the patio doors to. The dishwasher did not work when we arrived and after trying some different things that didn't work, texted owner and they came and fixed it promptly while we were out. That was very appreciated since it was a holiday week! The house was clean but there is some small issues. Two of the decks were under repair when we arrived but one was fixed the first day. The locks on the patio doors are missing but they have a way to prevent someone from breaking in, although once you see the area you will know that is highly unlikely. The drive to the house was interesting especially at night. It was a steep road, but the location is wonderful. It is easy to get lost and GPS is fairly close just a couple of houses away but we matched the house to the pic online. We were never more than 15 minutes from the places we visited. The king beds were soft and the queen beds were firm. We loved the big jetted tubs! The kitchen has some items but not as much as I thought. We never could get the little can openers to work we ended up using a knife to finish opening the cans. Lots of plates, bowls, glasses, mugs and silverware! There is even a crockpot. This house is built on a steep cliff so there is not much yard and we were there in December so that was not a problem for us. Each level has cathedral ceilings which means lots of steep steps to go up and down. One of us had a close call on falling down the upper level stairs. Its a beautiful house!
Beautiful and practical accommodations
This is a beautiful and spacious home and provided a very homey atmosphere for our family. The 5 BR, 4 B worked out perfectly. We will stay again.
Very enjoyable 2 nights with daughters, sister and nieces.
We had no problem at all renting this lovely home for a memorable girls weekend out!
There was a problem with the main floor heating unit. It wouldn’t shut off without turning the unit completely off. Even then the fan kept running. The space was great and the location was very convenient. It just needed a good cleaning!
Location! Location! Location!
This location is as good as it gets for families that want to stay on Table Rock Lake AND want to be close to Branson's top attractions.
Based on Google maps, Sunset Cove is a one minute walk from porch to water(Table Rock Lake), a five minute drive to the Branson's famous HWY-76(AKA "The Strip"), and under a 10 minute drive to Silver Dollar City, Table Rock Dam, Inspiration Tower, Moonshine Beach, IMAX Entertainment Center, Chateau on the Lake's Salon and Spa and Marina. Also conveniently close to and a variety of dining options, golf courses, mini golf courses, a state park, hiking, go-carts, zip-lines, shopping, and more! There is something for everyone!
Recommendations from a Branson native:
Silver Dollar City is one of Branson's oldest and most famous attractions! An 1880's style theme park with over 40 rides and attractions, live music, world festivals, amazing food, and much more! Don't miss it!
Views - Chateau's fireworks can be watched from the main level balcony on many holidays. Inspiration Tower is the second tallest freestanding structure in Missouri(the Arch in St. Louis is the tallest). Chateau has beautiful views of Table Rock Lake.
Shows - Sight and Sound, Showboat Branson Belle, Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede, the The Haygoods, and Presley's Jubilee
Shopping - Tanger Outlet, Historic Downtown Branson, Branson Craft Mall, and The Branson Landing
Breakfast/Brunch - Billy Gail's(personal favorite), Chateau on the Lake's brunch, and College of the Ozarks Keeter Center brunch.
Lunch - Sugar Leaf Bakery and Cafe, Saint James Winery and Restaurant, Cantina Laredo(ask for seat outside on balcony). All of these options work for dinner also.
Fine Dining / Dinner - Top of the Rock, Chateau Grille, Big Cedar's Devil's Pool, Hilton's Level 2 Steakhouse(next to Branson Landing).
I will be adding to and updating this list soon! As a 35 year native of Branson, these recommendations are based only on my personal experiences. I am not compensated by any of the businesses or attractions that I recommend! If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
About Nikki Justice
Proud to say that going on 10 years with VRBO/Homeaway, through this beautiful lakefront home, we have served and provided vacation memories to more than 1,000 guests from more than 200 families/groups from all over the country. The idea to build this home in 2007/2008 was inspired by my loving family and a tradition that my late grandfather created when I was a young child(a yearly family vacation that he coined "the mystery trip" where he planned, booked, and lovingly tormented ALL of us, including my grandma, by keeping ALL of the details hidden until we boarded our airplane... he was the best). I had high hopes for this home, but I never could have imagined how many families it would impact and the countless stories, memories, and experiences families would call, write, and e-mail to tell us. Thank you to all of my past families and groups for staying at my vacation home and for sharing your amazing stories and memories with us. Thank you to my parents for the countless hours they have put into helping design, maintain, oversee, and manage my property, and thank you to my late grandfather for teaching me the importance of MAKING the time to go on adventures as a family. The first decade has been an amazing ride and wouldn't have been possible without all of you! Here is to the next decade!
Nikki Justice purchased this House in 2007
Why Nikki Justice chose Branson
This home was built for vacations. Literally. Everything from the location, design/layout, appliances, etc. We have learned a lot over the past decade, but the original design and planning came from our experiences staying in various vacation rentals as a family. We have implemented many great ideas, many from our past guests, and due to the rapid growth of the vacation rental industry, the "share economy," and it's technology, we will continue to learn, grow, and improve. Why this home? As important as the design of the home, probably more so, it is the "second-to-none" location. Where else can a family stay lakefront on one of the most beautiful lakes in the country(Table Rock Lake), and only be 5 minutes from a highway that is home to more theatre seats than Broadway in New York City, the second tallest free-standing structure in Missouri-Inspiration Tower(2nd only to the Gateway Arch in STL), the 4th ranked amusement park in the country according to USA Today's Top 10 Readers Choice Awards, and a short, “traffic friendly” drive to numerous attractions ranging from golf courses, shopping, unique dining experiences, shows, go-carts, a water park, SHOWS, zip-lines, marinas, etc? If a family wants to relax after a long day, they can come back to a large, clean, comfortable lake-home conveniently located to all of Branson's variety. Flip on the fireplace, enjoy a glass of wine, make dinner in the large/open kitchen, grill out on the deck, or order take-out. Enjoy a family dinner and play a family board game or poker game. Don’t miss watching your favorite team(largest cable package offered locally), stream a movie on Netflix, Amazon Prime, or one of several other streaming options that come on the 50" Smart-TVs(all provided). No matter your preferences, this property is sure to accommodate! Check out my listing and reviews, and if for whatever reason, this home isn't right for your group, I will do my best to point you in the right direction! Thanks for reading.
What makes this House unique
Our guests tell us that they love this property for several reasons. Number one is the location! I have not seen a closer lakefront location to the Branson's Highway 76(aka The Strip). We are conveniently located to Table Rock Lake(obviously), Highway 76(The Strip), Silver Dollar City, Chateau on the Lake Spa and Marina, SHOWS, State Park Marina, Table Rock Dam(Dewey Short Center), Moonshine Beach, Golf Courses(several), Inspiration Tower, IMAX, White Water, shows, restaurants, shopping, etc. Our location is hard, if not impossible, to beat. There aren't many that can say that they were born and raised in Branson, and my unique background probably qualifies me as much as anyone to answer your questions about Branson. This has also given me a close relationship to the owner of probably the largest show ticket and local attractions vendor in Branson. I feel confident saying that nobody can beat the deals on show tickets and local attractions that are now available to my guests.
