Cabin, 3 Bedrooms + Sunroom, 1.5 Baths, (Sleeps 6-8)
We currently live in Minneapolis, and before that I lived in Madison, WI. My wife and I grew up in rural locations. I'm originally from northern Wisconsin near Rhinelander and my wife is originally from near Hanover, NH.
Jason purchased this Cabin in 2008
Why Jason chose Ojibwa
On trips to and from my parents (now in Eagle River, WI) we found that we kept stopping about half way for baby-out-of-the-car breaks. One small park in Ojibwa next to the Chippewa River saw many diaper changes. Since the trip was about 4.5 hours, and we were wanting to get away on the weekends more often to have our kids know a country experience, we started to look in this area. It was perfect for us. A half way point for my parents and siblings in WI and next to a river. My wife and I have taken a houseboat all the way down the Mississippi River and enjoy the freedom of rivers.
What makes this Cabin unique
When we are at the cabin we enjoy going on hikes and kayaking in the river. We also enjoy being so close to the Chippewa Flowage and a national park. In the winter our driveway down to the cabin is a perfect sled run for us and the kids.

Wonderful cabin, basics all provided which is great!!
Everything was very nice and we enjoyed ourselves. No fish unfortunately and to my son’s surprise no TV, which was OK with me.
We really enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was very well stocked. We loved the puzzles and books available. We spent a couple raining days by the fireplace putting together puzzles and reading some of the books. The scenery was gorgeous. We would definitely recommend this place.
Beautiful property, owner was attentive and available when needed.
Property was as described, beautiful and relaxing
Over July 4
We had a wonderful time. The cabin is a delight and everything is as promised.
My family had a great time! The cabin was beautiful and clean. We were worried about not having AC but it stays super cool. According to the thermostat it was 67 inside when it was 80+ outside. Plenty of space, great water pressure, and good WiFi. Our family of 5 was able to watch videos and play games on our phones at the same time.
The bugs weren’t terrible. They spray for mosquitoes every three weeks. The day after they sprayed the mosquitoes were almost nonexistent.
The fire, steaks on grill, hiking down around the river. Always a total treat retreat!
