Lovely little get-away
Our family enjoyed every little bit of "My Reverie". Every day we were boating, swimming, fishing, kayaking back and forth to Picnic Point, hiking this side of the island, reading on the porch overlooking the water... a total escape. The trails in back of the house were wonderful to explore with our dog, and exactly a two mile hike away there is a lovely winery to visit (Grindstone Island Winery - highly recommend). Some other excursions we all enjoyed were boating around the islands and touring Boldt Castle, visiting the Antique Boat Museum in Clayton with lunch at the brew pub across the street, and a marine border crossing into Guananoque for dinner at the outside market.
The house was completely stocked with plenty of towels and linens for us all, as well as kitchen tools and tableware to cook all week long. The air conditioning units were also much appreciated as the weather was warm and humid for much of the week.
When we return to the Thousand Island area again, we would look forward to staying here again.
Home was great. Maid was very, very rude!!
Home owner should not use the maid service. I never have been installed by a maid service in my life. I am 60 years old
Peaceful, Private, Beautiful Getaway!
This is our second year staying at this beautiful cottage. The view from the upper deck was just wonderful to wake up too. The secluded location gave us the feeling like we were on our own private island. Morning coffee as we sat on the dock watching the boats and loons was a wonderful break as a vacation should be. The sunshine, warm breezes and cool evenings made it difficult to leave! The cottage was clean, warm and inviting and full of everything we would need to make our stay comfortable. We took full advantage of the kayaks and outdoor grill, swimming off the dock and boating everywhere! This was an absolutely wonderful time! We would recommend this to anyone looking to getaway from it all yet close enough to Clayton and Alex bay for day trips and shopping.. Our adventures included Potters Beach, Lake of the Isles, fishing and sightseeing everywhere!
Thank you for sharing with us!
