A quiet retreat!
We loved this place as it was exactly what we needed! The area is very quiet, no highway sounds just nature. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The stairs to the third floor take a bit of getting used to but besides that it was a perfect stay!

Family Country Joy
I took my 2 young boys to this amazing property over the weekend and we had such a phenomenal time. The family hosts were exceptional and so very accommodating in every way. We did everything from riding 4 wheelers, ninja obstacle course, soccer, buggy riding, hiking, exploring the forest, skipping rocks across the frozen pond, animal finding, learning about all things in the forest, worship and prayer in the tiny church and sunsets and deer sightings each evening. We even stayed another night as we were having so much fun together. Highly recommend the Lamplighter Farm and we will hopefully be back soon. It even snowed while we were there! Icing on the top!

This place is INCREDIBLE
This is the perfect place to go to escape fast paced life and just relax and enjoy the quiet. Our dogs had an absolutely amazing time exploring the woods and having room to run all day long. You could not ask for better hosts. I highly recommend this place and will return again!

Why they chose this property

Our mother and father purchased this land in 1983. For years, my dad only used it for grazing horses. About 20 years ago, he began to build this cabin himself. As he grew older, he decided to pay a contractor to finish his work.. The contractor did not do a good job and my father unfortunately passed away before more work could be done.
In the last year, my mother decided to complete the work my father began and create a place that her 6 children, their spouses, and her 15 grandchildren could enjoy. Upon its completion, we decided to lease it as a VRBO to help pay property taxes, upkeep, and ensure it can continue to stay in the family. You will notice our rates are less expensive than surrounding properties. We love this place. It brings us incredible joy to share it with others. Our hope is that you love it and care for it as much as we do and come back to visit again.
