Great little cabin tucked away in the woods and feeling of being secluded. The views are amazing and the being tucked away makes you feel one with nature. We loved our stay here and visiting Watkins Glen State Park! Highly recommend!!
Thank you for taking such good care of the cottage! Glad you enjoyed it!
Idyllic hidden retreat
We’ve returned several times to this cottage, which is set on a cliffside with a gorgeous view of Seneca Lake. The beach is flat and spacious and is shared with guests at the B&B, with whom we rarely overlapped in spite of spending considerable time at the water. Access to canoes and kayaks adds lots of fun! We loved being here and only wish it could have been for longer. Take the steps — both inside and out—seriously and be prepared for the steep descent from the main road. That said, the cottage is convenient to Watkins Glen, wineries, and neighboring lakes, and had two beautiful decks just for relaxing and soaking in the beauty.
The best mini vacation EVER!!
I took my 2 teenage daughters and my 71-year-old mother and our dog to the cabin. It was an amazing vacation!! The house was small and quaint with incredible views of the lake. For the four of us it was a perfect size when we needed to spread out We used the kayaks and canoes every day by the beach and thoroughly enjoyed our time at the house. Every night we had a fire at the fire pit by the water. Small kitchen but everything that you need, great water Pressure and nice to have two bathrooms the downstairs one has the shower. Spent a lot of time on the porch just looking at the sky, the mountains and the lake. Perfect temperature for sleeping at night with the breeze through all of the windows. There was no one at the bed-and-breakfast when we were there so we had the walkway and beach to ourselves. Thank you Michele for being a great host and we loved your cabin. Thank you so much for sharing it with us!
I get a warm and fuzzy feelings when others enjoy and appreciate was is dear to me! Thank you!
We had a great time! Host was very responsive. Location was amazing, not far from Watkins Glen town, great hikes at Watkins Glen and Buttermilk Falls and obviously right on the lake. It was so nice that the house had two fire pits outside, lots of toys for the water and chairs to sit out in. All the steps down to the water did not bother us at all but was a little workout carrying the baby. We had the best time. My only comment is you may want to bring your own sheets, I don't think towels are provided or amenities such as toilet paper and paper towels, soap etc which I am used to having when I stay at airbnb. It was not a problem, we just were not prepared for that.
100+ wineries, on the Seneca Wine Trail. Amish Market, The Windmill and The Animal Sanctuary, hiking through state parks with beautiful waterfalls. Near Geneva, Corning and Ithaca. Great fishing!
About Michele Pavillard
I moved to the area in1987 after growing up in the inner city. I fell in love with the quiet and beauty of Seneca Lake. The tranquility revives me within minutes of being on the lake. I don't get to the Lake as often as I would like but it gives me great pleasure to share the experience with others.
Michele Pavillard purchased this Cottage in 1994
Why Michele Pavillard chose Rock Stream
