Where the Little River Runs is a 398 sq. ft. Tiny Home located directly on the East Fork of the Little River atop Lookout Mountain. This newly constructed home has serene views with trails leading to the river along with a hammock & a wood-burning fire pit. Go for a swim in the river or bring a kayak or fishing rods! In the spring & early summer, the trails are surrounded by Rhododendrons & Mountain Laurels.It is only 8 minutes from downtown Mentone, a cute little mountain town that is the highest point on Lookout Mountain. There are multiple state parks within driving distance of the home and many other outdoor activities in the area! There is one bedroom downstairs with a queen bed and a full bath. Then an upstairs loft with two additional full-size mattresses.

Work peeps get-away!

We wanted to experience a tiny house, and this one was a great one! Comfortable room enough for four people. Too bad it was too cold to enjoy the porch and fire pit. Thank you for a great overnight stay. 😃

Absolutely Amazing

I can't say enough about this cute little cabin in the mountains. I had never been to Mentone even though i only live about an hour away. This little place right on the river once you walk down the hill. The little bench by the bank very nice to sit out by river at night or during the day. The extra little thought that they put into making tour stay feel like home is really what did it for me. I can't wait to go back again soon.

In 2018, we went on an adventure to scope out where we will plant our roots for our first stages of life. We stayed in a tiny home in the area and it made us fall in love with this area, community, and a new concept of living.

Where the Little River Runs is the perfect spot to disconnect from your busy everyday life and reconnect with the nature around you. This is a very private and peaceful location. You'll be surrounded by trees and will have access to the river directly from the property. Enjoy the river views while you sit at our fire pit area that is directly next to it.

What makes this property unique

The quaint mountain town of Mentone, Alabama is just 6 miles away. In town you can visit unique artisanal shops and eat local foods including the famous Wildflower Cafe, voted Best Cafe in all of Alabama. Only 10 miles away is De Soto Falls, home to a 107 ft picturesque waterfall where you can go swimming. Drive 12 miles from the tiny home and you'll get to the Little River Canyon National Preserve. For those looking for full-day adventures outside of town, head 47 miles north to Chatanooga, Tennessee.
