Good for the price.

First off, this place was reasonably priced. It’s convenient to the beach as well. Not really convenient to any restaurants or grocery stores. I don’t think owners would be thrilled with the Vacasa customer service. There seemed to be a lot of prior damage to the home that would have been easy to repair. It took us 45 minutes to get in after we kept being sent the wrong codes. Shower curtain was pretty gross and all utensils and pots/pans were very low quality. Couldn’t cut anything at all with the knives. No one responded to requests to unclog the showers, which were all slow draining. Air conditioner was great. Decor was cute. No one responded to requests that

Great trip!

Amenities, view, walk to the beach were all as described. Kitchen and laundry was well stocked with expected rental quality kitchenware and a few extra, nice serving pieces. We rented a motorized beach buggy and the walk to the beach with cooler, chairs, beach bags, and pop-up tent was a breeze. Local rental businesses are available for golf carts, beach tent & chairs set-up, or as we opted the beach buggy. Parking at the community beach access was very limited. Three bedrooms upstairs-master with ensuite bathroom, the other two bedrooms share a hallway bathroom. Downstairs separate apartment was handy traveling with teens. They had room to hang out. We stocked their mini fridge and kitchenette area with drinks and snacks. Downstairs could easily host a separate family or a place for Grandparents (no stairs to climb to the downstairs studio apartment) to escape for some quiet time. Downstairs has one private bedroom, one bathroom off the hallway, and the beds you see in the pictures in the open living area. There was good closet/cabinet space for four teenage girls in the downstairs apartment.

Amazing house!

Overall the house was incredible! The interior is beautiful and extremely well done. The house provided everything I needed amenity wise and the proximity to the beach made it that much better! I would strongly recommend this house to anyone vacationing in gulf shores!

Fort Morgan

We enjoyed our stay, the listing was accurate for the distance from the beach and the amenities inside the home. The beach is a private beach and was not crowded at all. Everyone was extremely friendly and we enjoyed the family atmosphere. Would stay in this area again!

Ok but could have been Awesome

Loved the setup of the house. Some items that become a nuisance: downstair shower clogged up and left to stand in build up dirty water, dehumidifier was unplugged upon our arrival, the vent in downstair bedroom was musty and I woke up with a headache every single day, cleaning was not impressive: I swept the floors, tons of sand. No way the cleaning service swept with the amount of sand that I collected. We enjoyed the stay but if these elements would have been taken care of our stay would have been a 5 star review instead of a 3 star. Disappointing since there is a cleaning fee charge and we expected to relax on vacation.

Fall Break

Sea Forever was a beautiful home. It was a quiet neighborhood with a relaxing, chill ambience. Sitting on the balcony, we could hear the waves and see the beach. The home accommodated our extended family. We loved the down stairs area for our teenage children and I loved that there were no stairs inside to worry about our baby falling down. The bookshelves were full of amazing books. I would definitely recommend this home.

Nice, clean place to call home for a week

This house had plenty of space for our family to hang out in the evenings after a day on the beach or for this rainy days. There is about a 3 block walk to get to the beach because you are not allowed to go through the private properties on the beach in front of the house. The public access is a small narrow walkway and there’s no parking there so walking is the only option unless you have a golf cart. The kitchen is stocked well with dishes and pans for cooking, but there are no spices so make sure and bring them. There’s a coffee pot but no filters so those will be needed as well. There is no cell signal inside the house.

Thankful for Sea Forever!!

Our first family trip to the beach for Thanksgiving. The weather was perfect and the house fully equipped to handle preparation of a large family meal. Everything was in great working order with lots of linens and towels. The downstairs unit was well equipped and the perfect “bonus area” for the teens/young adults to hang out, game, etc… We were able to eat out, play mini-golf, grab ice cream and do lots of things that would require a 2 hour wait during the summer months. Fantastic stay!

Needs Work

There was a lot of what appeared to be mold on the 'front' door; I removed some of it with a Clorox wipe as a test. It needs to be cleaned up as it does not make a good first impression. Ditto the separate apartment downstairs. The entry door was FILTHY. One step inside and there was a very strong musty (mold-like?) odor. What appeared to be mold was evident on the ceiling & we quickly decided we could not use this area at all. This makes for a shabby first impression. As for the interior of the house, no complaints. The bed in the 'master' bedroom was excellent, the kitchen was OK, and gathering space was OK. The continued construction of houses on the last remaining properties has eliminated all beach access. It is necessary to load everything in the car & drive about a quarter mile to the designated access area to unload. There was no parking area for the car, as the very small area was filled with golf carts. So.....there will probably not be a return visit to this property.

Had stayed her ebefore

We had stayed here on Memorial day of last year and loved this house. Love the neighborhood, and everything about the house. This time was much different. There were ants & bugs everywhere. We called the rental company numerous times and kept getting promises that someone would be out, but they never came. I also just saw alot of disrepair that I had not seen the prior year. Now it could have been that we rented in the beginning of the summer months last year and this was at the end, but it was a totally different experience this time.

Hidden Gem

This was a quiet spacious place & GREAT for a weekend getaway! It's definitely a hidden gem! From the pictures, it appeared the house was on the beach, but it's a short walk. Extremely refreshing~we will be back!

Just missed the mark

I really wanted to like this house. The den with the bookcases and the wall of windows gave it an old, beach house feel that was homey. However, as noted in some reviews already, this house needs some TLC. The glass in the storm door to the basement is loose and swings back and forth when the door is moved. We worried it would fall out and shatter. The sofas in the basement were covered in sand from the last guests. They should have been cleaned. Someone in a review 2 years ago mentioned repairing the main level toilet-- it still doesn't work properly. The handle must be held down the entire time it flushes. Another reviewer commented about the amount of "stuff" in the kitchen cabinets. While there is a good assortment of dinnerware for a large family, the cabinets are full of many useless items just taking up space. We found one drawer and a shelf and a half in a cabinet to store food items. Most had to stay on the counter and bar area, infringing on the eating area of part of the group. The inside of the drawers are dirty and need a thorough cleaning. The bedrooms are in need of blinds or blackout curtains. I was awake at 5 AM every morning due to the amount of bright light streaming in and my year old granddaughter was up by 6 - a good 2 hours earlier than her normal. The bedrooms were also hot, but there were strict instructions on the thermostat to not lower it below 72 due to the risk of the AC freezing and encountering additional charges. It's the beach. It's summer. An adequate AC is necessary. To get to the beach by the advised manner was a half mile walk. Warnings to not cross others property were posted in the house at the risk of arrest. Really? Are people here that unfriendly? Some houses were private owned, but most were rentals and many were empty. I wish we had picked one of those as there were only 3 houses in the area that looked worse than this one. The exterior is surrounded by bushes and scrub brush and likely some critters. The beach itself was okay. It's not as pretty as Destin or Panama City, but is was quiet and uncrowded. I'm not sure if I would come to this area again, but if I did, I would definitely spend a little more money and stay in one of the nicer houses. Sad, because I paid a lot to stay in this one. Too much in retrospect.

2nd time staying at the home- we love it!

This is our second time staying at the house and we have loved it each time. The kitchen is well stocked, house is very clean and overall just comfortable and homey. Surfside Shores is an awesome neighborhood! Since the last time we stayed, the open lot across the street actually has two homes being built. The pics still had an unobstructed beach view but it now more of a peek a boo view. Still an excellent view! We would stay here over and over again! It is the perfect size for family togetherness but set up well to give us the space we need!

Escape from Michigan winter at Sea Forever.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We spent another February at Sea Forever. The weather wasn't the best this year until the last week. We still managed to play some golf and go on lots of walks. Unfortunately the view has changed since 2 homes have gone in the open spot. There are some nice new improvements to the place inside and out. Nice new deck furniture and an umbrella. The place was well taken care of.

Overall a pleasant stay

Our only issue was that the front door keypad would not work. We had to wait for a maintenance person to come and let us in. They gave us a key and came later in the week to replace the keypad. The mother in law apartment smelled very damp. It would benefit from a dehumidifier.
