Bad checkin and checkout policy
The good is that the house is just like it is described. Extreamly clean and very quite. The home and pool are very beautiful.
The bad is the checkin - checkout policy, First after driving 2000 miles and slept in that next morning, the property manager opens the side gate to read the meter to make sure you are not using their electricity. He left the gate wide open without my knowledge. When he rings the bell and I open the front door and my dog runs out. When I stepped out to get the dog, he barged in and starts his inspection. All this time my wife is still in her nightgown. Since we had a dog, I put him in the backyard. He tells us all the do's and dont's. After the inspector leaves we go to let the dog in but can't find him. He got out of the open gate and after 20 minutes of looking, we luckily found him in the open lot across the street. Soon after the inspector leaves and before we noticed the missing dog, we receive an email from the owner saying we sneaking in our dog without paying for him and we owed him the fee. I informed him that the dog fee was paid for in the contract. After we found the dog I got another email saying I was right about the payment and he apologized. I then informed him how his manager left the gate open and our dog escaped. I got no apology from him.
Next the checkout was worse. The manager said he could not check us out until 8:30 ( we wanted to leave early). I don't know what people with early flights do. When the inspector came and went through every room to make sure everything was perfect and we did not put up more people than paid for, he read the electric meter. We were not allowed to change pool settings or can't change the therosat so the electric is mainly used if somebody is there or not. Renters should read the contract very carefully.
I have used VRBO about 15 times and never had to be put through anything like this policy or having to be inspected. The home gets 5 stars and the bad checkin/checkout policy gets 0 stars. For as nice as the house is, for us it was not worth the headache. Especially the policy on electricity and the grill. We were on vacation and wish we picked a house without all the misc policies, rules, inspections, etc.
Decent stay, but for to the language barrier I think many things were misconstrued.
Property owner does not speak English. What they consider is wrong, is completely flexible with other property owners. Ex. We emailed to see if it was ok to have other guests due to a family funeral that happened to be close. We were told yes. Later, we were accused of trying to pull over free guests. We were completely forthcoming ahead of time. We couldn't really book dates and times, as everything was so last minute. Did not think it would be an issue since we paid for the entire house that week anyway, and cleaned all the linens. We tried to give alternate cc info for deposit to be given back, as original was compromised after payments were made. Owner and VRBO said it wouldn't be needed. They would just try crediting the deleted card. Hot tub was colder than pool. We tried adjusting the heat at the pump, we were accused of breaking the pool, and threatened to pay damages of pool turned green. The hot tub is only warm during the day, do not plan on having an evening hot tub experience as it gets cold fast due to being in solar. Fenced in area was really nice. Property managers were responsive and friendly. Owners seemed to be combative and accusatory. We have stayed at many places in the past years near this area, and have never had an issue. We are upfront if there is an issue, we fix what we can. We do not appreciate being accused of lying cheating or sneaking. Property owner also has accused us off sneaking out early because we left for home before check out time. Every other place we have stayed, we always leave early. We always let property managers including this one, know we are leaving early. No sneaking, no lying and no damage was created here. The pool remote did end up in the pool. Only for a minute, however for being water resistant it was full of water inside. We had it working, but didn't want further damage later on. We took it apart to put new batteries in and about corrosion. We shared this info immediately with property managers. I would say get everything in writing, and take video of your stay, before and after. Owners are trying to take those to legal, and we have documentation of everything.
Great First Experience
This was my first VRBO experience & it was really good. Bella Costa is a beautiful home & it had everything I needed to relax and enjoy a 4-week escape from the winter. I explored the area and discovered lots to do, but even with plenty to do I found time to enjoy the fabulous pool each day. I'd recommend Bella Costa to others & would gladly stay there again.
Very clean and inviting home
This is an exceptionally clean home. I have never never rented a home so clean. Everything in the description of the home is what it is. Just wished that the solar cover was expressed more clearly. The pool was cold. Because of the cold nights. Not the owners fault. In the contract it said that when the propane was empty from the grill that there was another tank in the garage and we would be responsible for replacing the one that was used. We did refill the tank but there was not a spare in the garage. All in All this was a very nice home and well worth the money.
Beautiful home, convenient to everything
Beautiful home, immaculately clean. Spacious rooms with a gorgeous solar heated pool. The backyard, patio/pool is private and a wonderful place to relax. Close to all sorts of shopping/grocery locations, and a quick drive to a myriad of possible entertainment outings.

I could write up a long boring recommendation but all anyone looking for a "beautiful villa" in the Ft Myers/Cape Coral for a vacation house needs to know is the everything they tell you in their ad is 100% true. AND MUCH MORE.
Cape Coral is a popular resort makes himself very popular due to its micro-climate. There is no local industry. Cape Coral has more canals than Venice!
