Great property, 15 minute walk into town center and
on the beach. Magnificent views from the balcony and
the condo was very nice and comfortable. Would
definitely stay here again.
Stay in Jaco was awesome. Communcation and check in with Lindsay was easy. Location and facilities were great. There is a great Soda 2 min away that had really good food. Deck was large enough for 4-6 people to have morning coffee or watch the gorgeous sunsets.
Great property, gorgeous views. Quiet end of Jaco. Felt safe and well cared for. Checkin and out was easy. Recommend a car to take you to the strip on Jaco. Property manager responded quickly with any questions.
Location was perfect away from the busier part of Jaco. Beautiful macaws right outside of our balcony every day. Condo was easy to get to and perfect for two couples as both bedrooms are master bedrooms with bathrooms. We will definitely be back. Pura Vida!
What a great stay! Owner was great to work with and Lyndsay was awesome with giving us so much help!! The view was amazing and the condo was wonderful! The full, well equipped kitchen was nice to have, bedrooms were huge and the showers were unbelievable. Definitely recommend!

Great experience
We have rented numerous properties through VRBO/Home Away and this was by far the best. It was very well appointed and tastefully decorated. The bedroom and bathroom set up was perfect for 2 couples traveling together. Forest was a wonderful host and gave valuable information. The views from the porch were spectacular. It was very easy access to the pool and the beach.
My wife and I stayed for six weeks and had a great vacation. The condo is very nice and is in a beautiful location. The view is magnificent. The beach is right out in front of the property. The beds are very firm and comfortable. There is a good restaraunt across the street and also at Crocs next door. We had a couple of minor issues while we were there and Cristina the owner was very quick to address them. All in all it is a very good place to stay.

Beautiful View, Lovely Accomodations
The condo was perfect for our 10 day stay. We were comfortable, the kitchen is fully equipped and having a washer and dryer was great. The best part of the trip was Forest...what a lovely, friendly, accommodating host! This being our first trip to Costa Rica, we found the locals to be exceptionally welcoming and thoughtful. We will be back!

Excellent Place
This was a good centralized location to do many outdoor activities. The condo was perfect, the pool was great. The beach was beautiful also, but it is not for swimming. It is for advanced surfers do to the strong under toe. The town of Jaco was close and fun, many good restaurants. Good to very good. Forest (owner lives 1 hour away) gave us many good ideas.

Just as described!
My family and I stayed here and had a great time. The views of the beach and mountain are brilliant. All appliances and furniture are in very good condition, very up to date. Large Bathrooms. Being on the fifth floor was perfect since you are private and get the best views. Most of all Forest was a wonderful host answering questions and giving suggestions. Jaco has a nice vibe and is close to Manuel Antonio, lots of zip lining other beach areas etc.

A piece of paradise!!!
This property is absolutely beautiful!! The condo is very spacious and everything is well appointed. We spent lots of time just sitting out on the balcony listening to and watching the waves crash against the rocks. It was just close enough to the main road but far enough away to not have to deal with the crowds. We saw scarlett Macaws, monkeys, and a sloth just across the inlet beside the condo. I would definitely return to this property.

NOT EVEN THERE YET AND I WOULD RATE THIS 5 STARS!!!!
I have enjoyed reading these reviews IMMENSELY!!!! My best friend and I are taking a trip there for my 50th birthday in 2 months. We arranged for the condo months ago and Forest has been amazing. Sending us a wealth of information for shopping, dining, fun, transportation, as well as assuring us that 2 women traveling alone together in CR would be just fine!!!!! I can hardly wait to get there! My only regret is that I have only booked 8 nights!!! Sounds like I will be wanting a much longer vacation from the reviews here!!!! #canhardlywait
Great location away from the hustle and bustle. A short/cheap taxi into the mess when you want/need it. Things you may like or may not like but it is good to know: 1) Property is protected by walls/gates/armed guards/video 2) Working girls are prohibited from joining you, this includes in-home massage services 3) the pool bar is not staffed, it is for your use. Like I said, you may or may not like any of these but you should know. I would stay here again ...

Delightful condo for a Costa Rica holiday
This was our first VRBO experience, and Forest was the consummate host. The condo became our “home,” as the beds were comfortable, the updated kitchen fully equipped, and the beautiful balcony converted into our living room and dining room. Forest kept in communication with us for months prior to our trip, and almost daily while we were renting the condo, checking to see that everything met our expectations, and suggesting travel tips for our outings. As mentioned, the balcony is delightful, taking advantage of the views of both Monkey Beach and the Pacific Ocean. Mornings and evenings are pleasant and relaxing, with a breeze off the ocean and a drink in hand. The Tres Regalos complex is a safe, welcoming oasis with a lovely salt water pool with sun and shade options throughout the day. The complex is at the edge of Jaco, far enough from town to be quiet, but close enough that short beach walks provide easy access to stores and restaurants. We look forward to returning to unit 502 on future holidays in Costa Rica.

Perfect spot for Costa Rica!
Pictures don't do this condo justice. We came down with another couple to celebrate the bdays of our wives. The condo is very nice with comfortable king sized beds and great bathrooms. Very clean with everything you need in the kitchen. And there's not a better host than Forest. He's extremely knowledgeable of the area and had some fantastic suggestions that always panned out.
Jaco beach is very nice, but if you're up for some adventures you're ideally located within 1-3 hours of the best spots that the Ticos have to offer. Manuel Antonio is 60 mins away. La Fortuna (Arenal) is 3 hours. Isla Tortuga tours leave from Puntaranas which is only 60 mins North. The town of Jaco is wonderful. Lot's a people, great shopping, and good food. The red macaws fly outside on a regular basis. Pool is clean. Guard helps you feel safe. We never saw any bugs inside the condo. Loved having the laundry and never had a single issue with any of the appliances/AC.

Poor maintenance.
Fridge water dispenser has new life form. Dishwasher not working. Sewer smells in unit not pleasant. To have someone come over to swim only if you rent for six months. No problem thou the pool is always cold. Everyone sits around it but only go in for a few minutes at a time. HOA says it's refreshing just a nice way to say we don't heat it. Ran into previous renters on the beach and we were told the same thing. We were told better deals down the beach. PS this the first bad review I have ever given about a unit that we have rented. Cannot recommend. Sorry.

Great place, great rental, great owner
Our family of 4, with two teenagers thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, 12 wondrous sunsets . Our goal to have a relaxing tropical stay was realized because there were no surprises, everything was just perfect as we had hoped it to be based on the pictures and reviews. The experience with the owner was a 10 out of 10. He was prompt in respond to email or phone and provided us with great suggestions for local food and fun activities in Jaco. He also helped arrange transfer to and from the airport with a friendly expat who showed us great hospitality and even took us grocery shopping on the way in. The condo is perfectly located, ocean, tropical forest and river views all from the balcony…keep an eye open for the colorful pairs parrots flying by. The 4 minute walk to the often sparsely populated beach had us taking a dip or boogie boarding several times a day, there is even an outside shower to rinse away sand before returning to the condo room or swimming in the well-kept pool. The fully equipped kitchen had everything we needed to eat-in when we wanted to enjoy the sunsets from the balcony. The staff were always keeping the facility neat and clean and were very friendly and helpful. Should our travels take us back to Jaco we most certainly will want to stay here again.

Luxurious beachfront condo
I have rented through vrbo before in Brooklyn, Berlin,Molokai, and Pucon, Chile. This is the best all around property so far. The beachfront location with white water views of the ocean, river and jungle alone would seal the deal. But this is an elegant property that adds so much to the experience. Lovely well maintained grounds with an unusual white coral pool with beach and ocean views. Tropical flowers in abundance. It's obvious that great care was taken in the layout and appointing of the condo complex. This unit is the best location of all twenty units. The balcony is generous size with a table for six. The interior appointments are modern and harmonious. The two large bedrooms roughly 12 x 20 and two full baths with wonderful shower heads and glass enclosures make it a great deal for two couples. The kitchen with marble counters and hi end appliances adds to the appeal. Finally, the whole condo has recently been repainted in tasteful colors with new furnishings and comfortable king size beds. I guess I could have said that the pictures really do tell the story. I look forward to returning.

Perfect Relaxing Getaway Full of Adventure!!
First I must say, the owner of this beautiful condo, Forest, is above and beyond the best host. From the moment I sent an inquiry about this condo, Forest put my mind at ease. He replied to my email lightning fast and he called and we spoke on the phone about what I was looking for in my first trip to Costa Rica. He offered tons of helpful hints about things to do and things to be cautious of while visiting. He stayed in touch from the time I booked until after we left. He is hands down a class act. Now to the condo. The condo is everything as described. The beautiful view, well equipped kitchen, spacious layout, quiet community, easy access to the beach and pool, perfect location....all made for a most relaxing vacation. I will say, Crocs Resort just opened next door so you can hear the music at night however we had excursions and adventures during the day so by night fall we were so exhausted we slept right through it. The plus side is its very convenient to be able to walk over and have a drink or have dinner when you'd rather not cook or go into town which is a few blocks away. There are so many things to do in Jaco and around this area with tons of places to have excursions I'd say this is a great place for someone looking for a low key getaway to someone seeking adventure. You will be completely happy choosing Tres Regalos #502 as your home away from home!

Spectacular place with amazing views
We just loved this place. It is perfect for 2 adult couples. We spotted McCaws in the distant trees in the mornings: 6:45 then again around 7:30 AM. Didn't see them in the PM. The forest hill is not climbable, but is truly beautiful, especially at sunset with the sun setting just behind it. We crossed the small river which was a bit deep and as the tide came in it rose quite a bit. We got wet up to our armpits coming back. It was a great time and your suggestions for restaurants was right on. I got the tuna tower at Grafiti's and it was spectacular. This place was hard to find as it can't be seen from the street. You go to the open air plaza with "Moyo" in lights at the front. It's just 1/2 block left and behind of Tsunami Sushi. There in the back are lots of restaurants, live music and dancing area. We also had great sushi at Tsunami Sushi. The town of Jaco has grown tremendously since we were there 9 years ago. Lots to do and see. Our taxi from Tres Regalas was only $3 to the near side of town. The artentina bakery was hard to spot because trees are covering the sign from the street. It is the second building once you just get to town with dark blue painted exterior. The condo has nice comfortable beds and the view is unbelievable.

Quiet, relaxing, and what a view!
This condo is even better than pictured and Forest did an amazing job sending us information, arranging transportation from and to the airport, answering questions, and making suggestions on places to go and things to do. Not only did he email and call with a lot of information prior to our visit, but he also has a book in the condo to reference after you arrive with many tips and suggestions. Relaxing on the deck watching and listening to the ocean is totally mesmerizing. We got to see lightening over the ocean on our first and last night and the scarlet Macaws flew over every morning. Both are spectacular sights. Walking down the beach to town to eat or shop was nice for the scenery, listening to the ocean, watching the surfers, and feeling the ocean breeze. We did tours of Poas Volcano and La Paz Waterfall Gardens Nature Park and Wildlife Refuge, Carara National Park, and a gondola ride over the rain forest. I would recommend any of these but leave plenty of time to relax and enjoy your stay. Be sure and take Forest's suggestion for buying fruit at the Fruiteria Pueblo to make amazing smoothies or just eat the fruit. You won't be disappointed. The most relaxing vacation I've had in years and mostly because the condo was such a great home away from home. I recommended it to a total stranger in the airport on the way home who was planning a trip to Costa Rice without hesitation or concern. I know you will love it too!

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Disliked: Listing accuracy
disappointed in jaco
When i was researching this rental i specifically asked if i could see the sun set over the ocean from the deck. The owner affirmed, in writing, that was the case. It was not.
During our stay the A/C was malfunctioning and ended up having to be repaired. The tech advised it hadn't been serviced in a long time. The on-site manager (who was great) could not attend the service call, and out of caution, and because there is no safe, we spent several hours of vaca learning about a/c systems.
The listing states there is a w/d in the unit. Correct, but it didn't work and ended up being replaced, on our watch. The 'new one' rattled so much on the spin cycle i had to sit on it to keep it from trashing the closet. It never did work during our stay.
There were some other minor issues one should know about; there were no condiments. 0. So bring your own
salt, pepper, oil, vinegar, etc. And the freezer had 2 ice trays, but both were empty...? odd. so if you are looking for a quick marg, bring your own ice.
Also, they charge a 5k damage deposit! i wasn't too worried about it---wasn't planning on throwing any keg parties---but that is kinda obscene.
One would think, given the above, the owners, if honorable, would offer some kind of refund. Nada.
These owners are either amateurs or just bad actors, and likely both. Be careful.
Finally, just to get ahead of the curve, the owners will likely come of with some kind of retort. Expect eloquent BS.
