Wonderful stay

We really enjoyed staying at Katherine’s place in Wrightsville! The house was beautiful, clean and stocked with the best cooking tools and accessories! We will be back for sure!

Unresponsive host

Is the place nice? Sure but save yourself the hassle and stay at a nicer place closer to the beach as this was the most difficult and unresponsive host we have ever dealt with A few days after we booked, we found out another family member was going to come along so we needed the larger unit. We messaged and called her and never heard back. Finally we called vbro they were able to reach her and change to the bigger unit (we paid the difference). Thursday morning, 31 hours before checkin, my wife tested positive for Covid and our family traveling from out of state decided to cancel their trip to mitigate the risk of getting sick. I contacted the host immediately to see if we could reschedule the booking as this was an unforeseen event and of course no reply. Again, I had to call vbro Thursday evening as there was no reply and even they couldn’t get ahold of her. Friday morning I called Vrbo customer service again and they finally got in touch with her to which she replied insisting we should come with COVID anyway. We did not ask for a refund originally just to a reschedule to which she said no, we simply wanted a chance to enjoy our $2000+ rental at another time even if it was next year. Instead it was either swallow the loss or go while sick? She may encourage traveling with Covid and getting others sick but that was not something we were risking. my toddler and I went alone without my wife or family for a night so it was a total waste but I can guarantee we won’t be back

Wrightsville boat week

House ended up being 1 block from where my wife lived in college at UNCW. House was very comfortable and super convenient for all Wrightsville activities. Public access just across the street allowed us to load and unload our boat daily. in 7 days we were on the water 5 days Great Week!! Would suggest a better cleaning service for the property. Those staying in the unit on the lower level made the same comment!! Had to perform a service on the A/C unit as we had no air one afternoon and there was no time line as to when we could expect service. Would have thought in doing this - property owners might have provided a thank you or even returned a little $$'s since a service call was saved. Overall we enjoyed the property and could see going again.

Very clean and well appointed apartment

It is a very nice apartment. It is clean, beds are comfortable, nice laundry area, access to beach equipment, etc.. We did run into trouble our last night. During a very hot time we lost all air conditioning. It was later in the day and there was no emergency service available, hence the apartment turned into a sweat lodge. We used damp rags to cool ourselves to make it through the night. It was pretty awful.

Peaceful space

Beautiful place! Loved the layout, decor, front porch and location. The walk to the beach is a little further than we were used to but it was doable. Nice quiet street. Easy walk to ice cream shop :) Would definitely stay here again.
