We are still open and operating, but at the same time we are taking extra precautions for our guests while we host by disinfecting all surfaces, light switches, knobs and more. We are working every day to keep everyone safe in our home.

The Space:
The Country Getaway is perfect for the traveler that needs an inexpensive, convenient, safe place to relax after many hours in the car.

It is a newly remodeled house with a large plush queen bed that offers a restful night's sleep, couch in the living room, and an air mattress. There is a beautiful spacious bathroom, and a full kitchen. The kitchen is fully stocked with all pots, pans and dishes needed for cooking & enjoying fresh meals. There is also a full coffee bar with a Keurig, Keurig cups, bottled water, and other miscellaneous goodies. We are pet friendly, but this house does not have a fenced in back yard.

Upon approval we can accommodate a late check-out or an early check-in for no additional charge.

Last but not least...Drum roll please... Any of our guests can get a free complimentary concert ticket to the Starlight Ranch for any of their BBQ Concert Series. Ask me for details

Guest Access:
You as our guest will have private access to the entire home. You will also have a private driveway as well as additional street parking if you have a trailer or moving truck.

The Neighborhood:
We love our neighborhood! Its so close to tons of shopping and great restaurants. Also, you can jump right on the highway and get to the Canyon, downtown, or the airport easily.

Getting Around:
We are centrally located in Amarillo off I-40 and I-27. We are so close to all that Amarillo has to offer. The Country Getaway might just be the easiest Airbnb to find when you are traveling as a guest to Amarillo.

Other Things to Note:
You will have your own private entrance to the house with a keypad lock so late check in is not a problem.

Interaction with Guests:
Hosting is our passion and Amarillo is our home. We live just down the street and we will be available upon request to help in anyway you need! We do our best to offer an accommodating stay for each and everyone of our guests!

Roadtrip Night Stay

Perfect little one bedroom to get a good night's sleep after a day on the road. 7 minutes from the Big Texan steak house and super easy to hop on the highway. The house was clean and tidy. Check in was super easy with a key pad and the driveway in front of the house was great. They had toiletries in case you had forgotten any and water bottles and snacks. Communication with the host was always quick qnd helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

Mixed thoughts

Mixed feelings. Place is cozy but lacking many essential items for cooking. Water was left in the kcup coffee machine for unknown length of time making it a bacteria bomb so could not use. Door did not latch without use of deadbolt. Safety issue. Poor maintenance, putty all over windows. Property manager was quick to respond and sent maintenance to fix door. It was adjusted and would close but was back to same problem within 24 hours. Neiborhood was quiet buring our stay but it is rather run down and felt a little uncomfortable walking dog after dark.

Nice stay

We ran behind schedule and it was a good thing. We did not have check in info, but I messaged the host and was given the details within an hour. The house itself was good. Very nicely decorated. We would stay here again.
