Where do I begin?! HORRIBLE
Let me begin by saying, the cabin was decent overall, but the rental agency was an absolute nightmare. This was one of the most unorganized & overall terrible experiences that I have ever experienced in my 20+ years of renting cabins in the Smokies. It began upon check in, which was delayed by the rental agency by 2 hours because the cabin had not been cleaned. After a long drive, we had to spend 2 hours just meandering around waiting for the lock code & confirmation that we could FINALLY get in our cabin. Upon entering there was no wifi info in the cabin, so (since you have no service on the mountain) we had to drive all the way back down to the parkway (approx 20 min each way) just to make the call to get the wifi info. Let me tell you - the wifi is TERRIBLE - we couldn't even get work emails to send (a speed test registered 1mb/s for reference). Day 2 was an absolute nightmare. First, while my fiancée & his friend were on the golf course we had an extremely sketchy lady pull up to the cabin unannounced stating that she needed to measure the TVs. We did not allow her to come in as it felt unsafe, given that both me & my friend were female & alone. Upon her leaving, we left to do some shopping in Pigeon Forge. When we returned, we were locked out of the house, as all bottom locks (which we never once touched as we only used the automated lock) were locked - yes, someone else with either a key or the lock code had been in the house without our knowledge & locked us out. My fiancée was on the last hole of his golf round & I was able to get a text to him regarding the issue, so he called the management office & asked that they mark this as an urgent lockout. They stated it take less than an hour to have someone come let us in. An hour passed, & luckily (utilizing a credit card) we were able to break back into the house on our own, thankfully because over TWO HOURS LATER no one had shown up to let us into the house. Later in the day, after my fiancée & his friend returned & yet ANOTHER person (named Sylvester) pulled up in a truck, yelling up to us that the office had been calling us all day because we owed them money - which we didn't. I then called the office, sat on hold for 35 minutes to speak to a manager, only to be disconnected & transferred back into the queue. The only reason there is ANY positive in this review is that they provided 50% of our money back - after spending another 45 minutes on the phone with them.
