About Marci Paddock
Marci and her family moved from California to Hawaii in 2002, following 2 of their sons who were attending Brigham Young University in Laie.
Marci Paddock purchased this Condo in 2002
Why Marci Paddock chose Laie
We purchased this property after seeing it once on our trip to Laie for our oldest sons wedding. It was in ill repair, but had good bones and lots of land! We have enjoyed going from room to room renovating the building and each unit, making it a property that we love and plan to pass down to our children and grandchildren. In 2000 we built a second building on the property where many guests have enjoyed coming for their vacations.
What makes this Condo unique
We love the large meadow that connects to the property. It make our property feel so open and spacious. We can walk over to the meadow and play ball or run around with the kids and not worry about bothering the neighbors. It is so easy to walk across the street and launch our kayaks, or go for our morning walk. The beach goes for a couple of miles, sometimes without ever seeing anyone else. Often we see sea turtles feeding along the reef areas when we walk in the early morning. Surfers anxious to get in a little time on the waves before work paddle out to the far end of Goat island just after sunrise. I can't believe I live in such a beautiful place!

Great place for a couples getaway
We enjoyed our stay so much! The apartment was small but just as described and perfect for the two of us. It’s older and nothing fancy but great for a beach stay. My only suggestions would be I would’ve loved a full length mirror and also a dresser to put our clothes in since we stayed a full week. There is a closet to hang clothes but a dresser would’ve been great. We’d love to stay again someday. Thanks!
Good Location but needed TLC/Repairs
This was very adequate for a short visit but it needs some TLC and maintenance. Examples include: Lock Box was hard to open; paints and trim areas peeling in some areas; rust on some apartment hardware; minimal TV channels; laundry room was small and needs TLC/Paint; Mouse Droppings each night in new areas; etc.
Owner was good / helpful when contacts were made and very helpful when asked. Thank you!
We have resolved the mouse problem by gluing floor tiles along the lower part of the wall where they were getting in. The laundry room is shared by a few other apartments, but is cleaned regularly. The salt air does pit the hardware easily. Just part of being so close to the beach.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, in particular the proximity to the beach and the lovely views. The unit was clean and air conditioned. The only bother was the tenets above were a bit loud late into the night. But overall a great stay.
Great guests. We enjoyed hosting them.
Great Location Across The Street From Hukilau Beach!
Great property for a party of 1 or 2. Comfortable bed. All the amenities you need. No complaints!
Ohau, north west shore stay
This beach house is near the Polynesian cultural center and the Layer Day Saint temple. Beaches are great.
Kualoa Ranch has 4 wheeling, paint ball guns, movie set viewing, horse back riding, restaurant, etc.
