Do not stay here!
We were bumped from our flight and were to arrive a day late. No refund for the missed day. Place was advertised to have a Jeep. No Jeep. Not walking distance to anywhere! You must have a vehicle. Owner said it wasn’t his fault. Offered to get us taxis but they were unreliable. Sometimes didn’t come or waited and waited. We could not come and go as we wanted. Finally on day 4 he got us a truck. But no refund for the inconvenience. I pointed out when we could not arrive so what we had to pay but when he did not provide the advertised Jeep he made no concession. Would never ever stay here again. He did assume any responsibility for failing to keep his end of the bargain . Great view but without a vehicle it’s worthless. Don’t go there!

Don’t stay here, it’s not worth it.
To say the least, who ever is vacationing DO NOT STAY HERE. For starters, the jeep was not at the residence the entire time I stayed here for vacation. It is imperative to have a vehicle because the location is on a hill. The vehicle is a necessity in St. Thomas! You will over pay for you stay for no reason. Also, the communication between the host is absolutely terrible. The sole reason why people stay here is because of the plus vehicle that comes with the villa but you will be disappointed when you show up and not only did they not inform you that the vehicle was not going to be there but they will make mis-promises to you. Lastly, host will be in your way and won’t respect your privacy. If I could give 0 out of 5 stars I would! Take this with a grain of salt.

AMAZING VIEWS!!!!
This house is just as it apears... spacious, a spiral staircase to the upstairs bedrooms and bath, and absolutely gorgeous views! The house is clean and well kept, a few repairs seem to be in progress, but they are very minor (a broken bathroom tile, not so hot water in the upstairs shower, only cosmetic issues that are of absolutely no concern once you walk out onto the balcony and see that view). It sits WAY up on top of a mountain overlooking Charlotte Amalie, it's peaceful, quiet, comfortable, safe, and clean. The taxi drivers at the Red Hook Ferry didn't know the address, but when I called the host, Michael, he explained where the house is and a driver took us there (the drive is short, straight uphill, and a bit scary). There was an issue with the Jeep not being there for us to use, however Michael and Jacob sent a taxi for us, Moe took us to town, showed us the best restaurants, the market, the bay, shopping areas and then came back and picked us up after we finished shopping. The next day Michael sent the same taxi back to pick us up and we grabbed a rental car to explore the island (again....the drive up can be scary, it's straight up the mountain, but after driving all week in St. John, it was no problem). Michael is reimbursing me the taxi fares. The downstairs neighbor is AWESOME, very sweet and fun. Only saw her when she was coming home or leaving. I highly recommend this house if you want the view of a lifetime and very responsive hosts! Thank you Michael and Jacob!

Very difficult property to access. Nightmare experience first few days.
We were promised a pickup from the airport, the use of a jeep, and sold a "luxury" property. No airport pickup came. None of the local taxis knew how to get to the address we were given. No directions were posted on VRBO. Neither the owner nor the co-host picked up the phone when we called. Co-host texted back quickly though. No car was available when we got there. Prior renter had apparently wrecked it. We had no meal since very early that morning and had to beg the co-host to bring us something since none of the taxis would come up into the very steep hills to pick us up. They brought us a car much later on the 2nd day after my wife had already given up and rented another car (which we had to pay for). Myriad things broken or not working in the house. Could go on, but you get the idea. Never had an experience like this with VRBO in many, many years of using them.

Recently graduated from New York University and now raising money for medical school. Lived in St. Thomas for about 17 years so I'm happy to answer any questions about our island.
