Disappointed with Vacasa
The unit had not been cleaned at check in. It took 3+ hours, many phone calls and text messages before the cleaners arrived at 7:00pm. Vacasa did not communicate adequately what was going on so we felt compelled to begin cleaning ourselves. We vacuumed, cleaned the bathrooms & kitchen, wiped down dirty tables, etc. There were dirty sheets & towels on the floor of each room and no access to clean linens. We were told they would contact the local Vacasa office, when we asked if we could do that directly, they refused to share the phone number for that office.
The cleaners that finally arrived did a good job putting on clean sheets, and finishing the cleaning. It appears someone else had started the cleaning earlier and these were replacements that were called in to finish. They did a great job under the circumstances.
The unit itself was tired and overdue for repairs/renovations. I expected more given the rental rate.
And, I certainly expected better communication and customer service from Vacasa. They offered a refund of the cleaning fee but only refunded 1/2 until we called in yet again to get the other half.
All in all, this was a big disappointment!
