Notes
- The lodge includes a well equipped kitchen, gas grill, and fascinating restaurants close by if cooking is not on your schedule. The lodge is decorated with animals, birds, and fish trophies. 'Mr. Moose' hangs on the stone fireplace upstairs in the gathering room and bear rugs hug the floors. 'Mr. Deer' settled over the downstairs fireplace. Wrap around deck with lake view, also seen from screened in porch, dining room, and lower patio with picnic tables. Bring a book, listen for the sounds of nature and catch a few rays. Seasonal enjoyment; the wood-burning fireplaces have ample wood supplied for the winter months, spring delights with mild weather and blossoming dogwoods, summer provides outdoor activities around the lake and fall changes to breath-taking foliage and cool evening camp fires. Unique In Every Way.

Hosted by William Parker
Ask a questionAbout William Parker
I am a retired orthodontist since 1995 and built this property a few years later. My wife and I boated for a few years after retirement then settled on our cabin home. I am a fly fisherman and enjoy KY and Barkley Lakes. One thing I love to do here at the cabin is have an annual fish fry and music jam every year in May. My buddies and I catch our own fish and pot luck the rest of the food or talk our wives into cooking a pot of beans. I've been a hunter in my younger days and some of the the mounts reflect my prey.
William Parker purchased this house in 1998
Why William Parker chose Kuttawa
I eventually wanted some place the family could use with or without me. After boating I needed another new hobby, so building the lodge was it. My grandchildren all are into sports but I can always pull them back to nature when we stay at Parker Lake Lodge whether it is catching a frog or a lizard, even harmless snakes. We have had scavenger hunts, buried treasure finds, caught their first fish, played 'king of the mountain', had campfires, hikes, water bike rides and so much more. Your children/grandchildren will put their electronics down for an hour or maybe a whole afternoon and that's a promise!
What makes this house unique
It is a 26 acre playground. A 5 acre private lake with 2 canoes, 2 kayaks, a fishing boat, a water bike, a fire pit and a tree house that my grandson and I built. I don't know of anything to compare it to. It is close to restaurants and an abundance of attractions. The lakes are just a half mile away for launching a boat and that opens a whole new world. It is an ultimate getaway but it's also a unique getaway.
