Very good location in proximity of the the Henry Ford Museums. Less than 15 minutes away. If you are a historical person and love cars museums this is the place to stay. Many less than 30 minutes from the house. At the right time 30 minute or less to the Tigers Stadium and downtown Detroit area.Only complaint from me is the coach could of been upgraded to be more comfortable also not a fan of any scents used in any VRBO / Hotel to smell good. Lastly could of used wash cloths for the bathroom and cleaning the dishes with dish soup. ( purchased some from the local Kroger's ).would stay here again.
I live local and this was a great location to have family stay visiting from out of town. Clean and good communication from the host. Thanks for a great stay!
Absolutely loved this home, it gave historical vibes that reminded us of home (savannah, Ga). Its location was perfect just a quick Uber to every where we needed to stay, the neighborhood was really nice and made us feel safe. Two separate bedrooms were perfect for a family of four and the full kitchen is just what we needed for a 3 night stay with the kiddos.
Why stay in a hotel when you can stay in a 2-bedroom house? This home has ease of access to shopping and I-94, I-75 and 34 (Southfield Freeway). Downtown is minutes away. Museum lovers have the Ford Museum and Greenfield Village nearby. The Middle Eastern restaurants are not too accepting of single white women. I stayed away from them this time. I rented this very house in October 2023. For me, this house would not be suitable for a long stay.
Well maintained and clean. Only "issue" of concern are the area rugs in the living room and bedroom. No undermat and they slip placing one at risk of falling. I slipped twice and had to be mindful of walking into the living and bedroom areas. The rug in the living room has signs of people tripping over: the corner of the rug as you walk from the bedroom area to the front room is frayed and damaged from "tripping" as it the corner as you enter the living area from the front door. This corner is just bent. The rugs are a liability. Having once been a homecare supervisor, I would not approve service in this home unless the rug was removed or the edges taped down - especially these 2 corners. I have photos. The floors are slippery and slippers are needed or walk in bare feet. Aside from this - this is a great place to stay. Kitchen comes stocked with one 6 cup saucepan and one frying pan. This may be fine for a weekend stay, however, if longer this could be problematic if you want to cook rather than get takeout/dine out. No dish rack - and it is expected you wash your dishes. Spices/herbs are available, however, not salt and pepper (which I purchased) no garlic or onion powder. Basics for longer stays.
My wife and I had a wonderful time staying in a clean two bedroom home in a quiet neighborhood in Dearborn. The only issue was a lack of towels for the kitchen and hand towels for the bathroom. Everything else was great. Can easily recommend.
Home was clean and in a quiet neighborhood. Close proximity to restaurants and the Detroit river. There was construction on the street, which made parking a little difficult. The neighbor allowed us to park a vehicle in their driveway. Would recommend.
Our host was phenomenal - he responded to questions immediately and was most accommodating. The house is lovely - hardwood floors, great living space, kitchen nicely equipped. 2 bedrooms with extra comfy beds made our rest times great. The window treatments are new, and allow light to come in, so home is bright inside. In the dining area, a large picture window looks out on a great backyard - for us, it was wonderful to have breakfast and 'visit' with area wildlife (black squirrels and bluejays in particular). We were only 12 minutes from the place holding our seminar and the location is fabulous relative to stores, restaurants & other interesting places. In addition to being clean, welcoming and relaxing, our host furnished lovely towels and toiletries. I would stay here again without hesitation and highly recommend our host. We felt like we truly were home while there (a 'home away from home' !)
Thank you, Mr. G!
