A Great Stay in Perugia

This is a cute and very clean apartment in the center of Old Town Perugia. The area is awesome, surrounded by excellent restaurants and historic sites. Our host, Jeffrey, was extremely accommodating. We had an issue with the hot water and he had a technician out to the apartment within the hour. Highly recommend for your stay in Umbria!

In the heart of Perugia

As they say in real estate, the 3 most important factors are: location, location, location. This apartment is in the center of historic Perugia. Quiet neighborhood. We were attending the University for Strangers to learn Italian and had a short 7-8 minute walk to school. Near restaurants, pizzerias, shopping and 3 minutes to the main piazza and cathedral. Charming, cozy apartment is best for 2 people, more would be crowded. Host is very responsive and accommodating although not nearby. We walked and took the mini metro, bus and trains everywhere. Very difficult to have a car here with small roads, no drive areas and minimal parking. And no need with the excellent public transportation. Lace up your walking shoes and explore a city founded thousands of years ago!

Great location, can be hard to find initially

We enjoyed our stay in Perugia! Apartment is well located, and quiet, and kept us warm as the temperatures dipped low (we visited in off-season) and worked great for our time there. Bathroom could use a bit of updating but everything was in working order. Furniture is a bit random but works, might be nice to not have carpets in the bedroom spaces. There is a funky gap at floor level (due to the architectural elements) in the adult bedroom that I was scared to let our toddler go near, so that’s worth noting for families with young/small children — also worth noting the spiral staircase up to the kids room. We had some trouble finding the place due to mapping (common in old walled cities) and that became a bit of an ordeal for us (I had the kids in the car while my husband got out and investigated on foot), so I think we could have used more direction/help to find the place (it seemed easy enough when we put in the address). We hired a car for our time, driving from town to town, so you’ll need to find parking in one of the garages, several minutes walking distance from the apartment. Once we found the apartment, we dropped our bags off close by, and then moved the car (likely getting a ticket in the mail from driving places we weren’t supposed to in the process). That part can be tricky! The apartment is a 2-minute walk into the neighborhood behind the piazza that is home to the old Etruscan Well (Pozzo Etrusco) — that is the best landmark to use!

Right in Old Town

Great location, charming, comfortable, and quiet. Host was extremely accessible and gracious. Walking distance to everything: historic center, restaurants, mini metro, views, and, of course chocolates.
