Could not stay here!
Communication was good prior to booking. I was travelling with my 12 year old son and 3 year old daughter. We arrived late as travelling from LA. when we arrived the unit was very warm and there was an awful musty smell. When we looked around we realised the pictures must have been taken some time ago. Carpets in bedroom were stained and there was dirt in the corners. The bedroom blind was broken and brackets left on wall, they were also dirty. The bedroom lampshade had dust all over it. The sliderobe door was jammed and there was a crack in the other. The bed felt damp. The door to bathroom had a hole in it and something spilt on door. The bathroom mirror was very old and silver backing had come off around edges. The toilet seat was marked and broken underneath. The shower head was held together with black tape. The shower screen was caked in dirt and corroded. The bathtub was old and stained. There was dirt and cobwebs in corner of bathroom. The kitchen worktop had broken tiles, the blinds were covered in dirt and grease, the dishwasher smelt awful and was dirty inside and also had old powder caked around dispenser. The cooker was old and corroded on side. The fridge was also dirty and stained/marked. The saucepans and baking sheets were dirty and lids broken. There is no way you would use them to cook. The living room was spacious but furniture is really old and stained. The dining table is old and stained with white marks. There is no air conditioning but there are fans. These too are old, rusted and covered in dust. The tv had hardly any channels. I couldn't get the Internet to work when I arrived to contact Steven so had to drive to a friends house. My son was crying and said he would rather sleep in the car than at the apartment so we stayed at my friends small one bedroomed duplex where I had to stay as Steven is refused a refund. In fact he never even refunded the damage deposit or the cleaning fee. I paid in advance for a month so it is a substantial amount of money. Needless to say it was very stressful and ruined our holiday. I have took photographs and these have been placed on review sites. I have travelled to California for many years and have never had a probem with any accomodation. I listed everything that was wrong and the only thing he fixed was the toilet seat. Please feel free to contact me if you wish, I do not want anyone else to experience what i have. if you don't mind the above it is in a good location in Dana Point
