Nice Condo!

Close to town, walking trails etc. Lots of wood for fireplace. Lots of room for guests. Nice place!

Issues, but we would probably stay there again.

We have studied at many properties available online with several different websites. This is one of our more disappointing experiences, and yet we might stay at this property again. Let me explain. 1. Arrival - cleaning - floors not clean, especially around the edges and under chairs. Table top and counters not cleaned. Fry pan not clean although I don't expect the staff to go through all the cupboards to make sure each item was cleaned. 2. Kitchen supplies - it is most helpful to match website with what is actually in the kitchen. YES - a coffee maker and filters, but not listed on website. NO coffee - which is often supplied in homes. YES - a blender but I didn't try it to see if it worked. YES - A crockpot in the cupboard - don’t know if it works. A few spices. YES - lots of silverware, mixing bowls, cookie sheets, pots and pans. 3. We did text and VaCasa frequently about the insufficient toilet paper, no new kitchen sponges. (I am not crazy about using grungy kitchen sponges.) We received messages back that were platitudes - "trying to reach your local support staff. Please let us know if we can help you". (Which does not make sense since we have stated our request about ten times and have received no help.) 4. The local person that did eventually contact me was pleasant and accommodating. 5. We made this reservation months ago, so I was surprised when I read the summer and fall reviews of several properties and realized VaCasa is pretty challenged to keep up with their previous standards. Historically, I prioritized a VaCasa property because of dependability on high standards. Now I am less likely to do so. 6. Cheers to prompt and thorough snow removal after snow fall. 7. Just so you know - slightly funky house architecture. The downstairs bedroom has a large open window located above eye level that is open to the kitchen and dining, so no audio privacy. The master bathroom has an open window overlooking the living area and cathedral ceiling, again, no audio privacy. There is a window blind to open and close and a dresser in front of it, but not audio mitigation. A heavy drape would be more helpful. I see other reviews mentioned it, but I didn't quite understand what they were referring to. 8. We were there in the winter and had a few deer walking through the back yard. Nice wooded area outside the back with homes in the distance. 9. NO FAQ book or homeowners guide for the guest. Usually a home has a visitor’s notebook with details, such as how to use the TV, the wifi name, restaurants, and maps. 10. This place is part of a Village with 100 other homes. The website lists shared hot tub, pool, and tennis courts. That means going to The Club which is one block away. The Club attendant informed us that the owner is to give permission to The Club if the renters are allowed to have access. The owners did not do that. 11. We would consider this home again because of location, and bedrooms and baths. Thank you

Sloppy house keeping and poor management response

We really enjoy the layout of this unit and the amenities of Aspen condos. However, was disappointed with the cleaning job. Trash left behind, toilet dirty, drains clogged, blankets thrown in closets, sand covering the entry way/bathroom floor, and tv not working. I let the management know. They responded to my concerns promptly via text and said they would contact housekeeping and be in touch…but did absolutely nothing for the next 4 days we were there.

Lacking standard amenities

Not thrilled with our stay: - The dishwasher was broken for 3 days, my husband had to fix it - No mention of no AC in the description which would have absolutely changed our minds - Fans were only helpful for a couple of our guests, not all the kids who had a very difficult time sleeping - Master having an opening to the room below was very inconvenient and loud for those trying to sleep in while others were awake late or early in the kitchen - No toilet paper, we had to buy our own - Not enough towels for the guests there let alone extras as needed for the pool, etc. - No paper towels, we had to buy some - No basic cleaning supplies, even counter cleaner, for simple juice spills, etc, we had to buy this - Shower head was broken in hall bathroom upstairs - Shower/tub was clogged or backed up and wouldn't drain - No axe to split the fire wood, had to borrow from neighbors - Loud neighbors - No response from Vacasa on fixing issues or handling housekeeping issues - Major issues with booking and getting a response even from the beginning - Had another place booked, requested cancellation early with much advanced notice and was still charged the full fee even after 5-6 requests to cancel via text, app, messaging, email and then phone. Was told refund was done/coming. Never saw it and had to call again and be placed on hold for over 45 min. each time I'm very unsatisfied and angry with the whole experience

Comfortable and accommodating.

We loved the dry fire wood in the garage. Their were plenty of dishes, pots and pans. There was not enough garbage bags and minimal kitchen supplies. Comfortable beds. We had expected a TV in the master bedroom but there wasn’t one. There is an open space in the master bedroom that looks down over the living area. If there are people below making noise it is disruptive in the master bedroom. The clubhouse was great.
