Certainly an experience
We booked a 9 night stay, host communication was poor when we arrived there were 4 Police cars blocking the street we should have listened to this bad omen. Overall the property provided good space which with older children was important as we wanted 3 bedrooms. The property is not maintained to the standard you would expect for VRBO with several light bulbs out and a bit worn but livable. The real problems started on day 5 when we returned home to a notice informing us the gas had been cut off! This meant no hot water. Despite letting the landlord know that evening we were without gas and therefore hot water for 3 days / nights. Despite messaging the landlord we didn’t get a satisfactory response and in the end had to call VRBO. They spoke with the landlord and put him on the phone with us and then said they would follow up but never did. Overall a good story to tell but not a good experience!
