LIVING SPACES

The tall, airy ceilings and abundant woodwork in the lodge’s great room offer an abundance of light and space. When you return home from a long, fun day on the slopes, the trails, the links, or anywhere in between, it will feel so wonderful to kick off your shoes and snuggle up on our plush, cozy sofas.

With the fireplace crackling, a tray of hors d’oeuvres and drinks on the table, and some music playing in the background, it will feel the perfect end to another incredible day in the Up North of MI.

A massage chair in the corner will soothe tired muscles and offer a luxe pampering experience.
Movie nights will never be the same after you’ve watched all the action, mystery, and romance on our 75” screen. We even provide YouTube TV for your convenience, though with our gigabyte speed WiFi, it’s easy to stream whichever streaming service you prefer.

KITCHEN AND DINING

Your family chef will be thrilled by this spacious, fully-equipped kitchen. They’ll be creating the family’s favorites in great style with stainless steel appliances, solid-surface countertops, and a center island with seating for 4. With plenty of pantry space, you can easily bring all the groceries and goodies you’d like.

The adjacent dining table seats 6 and sits in front of both oversized windows and two sliding glass doors, offering beautiful views of the park-like setting.

BEDROOMS AND BATHS

The primary suite is located on the first floor and boasts soothing neutral colors, a luxurious king-size bed, dual nightstands and lamps for late-night readers, and a TV for late-night talks show enthusiasts.

Bedroom two offers a romantic sloped ceiling and king-size bed. Other features here include dual nightstands and lamps, and a TV. (Please note that one wall does not go all the way up to the ceiling in this room.)

Bedroom three is the “Bear Den”, perfect for the kids in the family, with 4 twin beds, and two super cool bearskin rugs. A convenient sink is located right in the bedroom - perfect for tooth brushing!
Last, but not least, is the loft bedroom, featuring a queen-over-queen bunk. But the best part is…an arcade game and game table, so this area can easily double as the game room. It’s a great spot to make good use of the provided board games.

The first full bath features a tub/shower, while the second has an oversized walk-in shower and dual sinks. There is also a convenient half bath, plus the sink in the “Bear Den”.

Perfect Family Friendly House
What an incredible house. We had 3 families stay for a two day ski weekend and had a blast. The kids loved the twin bed room and the kitchen was well equipped to prepare meals. These hosts truly thought of everything - plenty of towels, games, etc. we didn’t utilize the shuttle but Crystal was only a 3 minute drive away.

Best appointed home ever
The house was very comfortable for our family of 11. The owners thought of everything - games, boot dryers, hot tub, sauna, comfortable beds, nice bedding, heated garage, ski storage rack and so much more.

We Visited For One Day
We visited property for one day. Beautiful, clean, well maintained, and very cozy. We went outside to the car, and i got an email about we were being loud. I felt that was kind of ridiculous since we were just walking to the car but other than that, perfect stay. Will visit again with the kids for sure.

Guys Golf Trip
Nice house and very clean, not as spacious as advertised. The sleeping arrangements were not great for 8 guys on a golf trip. Did not like the cameras and decibel level monitor outside on the back patio. Owner contacted me about the decibel level with a screenshot of the meter at 8:00 PM on a Friday night.

About the host

Hosted by JT

Host profile image
We, JT & Julie, our daughter Claire (6) and our son Grant (3) started this business in 2021 in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was driven by the burning desire to get out of the house where I had spent over 1 year staring at a computer screen in a dark room and contemplating what's next in life. Missing the days of socializing with family, friends, and other humans, we started to look into AirBnBs as a way to get people together again in a meaningful way. When we launched our first property, it was the summer of 2021 and the societal need to get people together and move on from the pandemic was at its peak. The summer sun vitamin D in Michigan was giving people an extra boost in their step. We worked very hard to get everything in order in our 3 AirBnBs spending many weekends setting up and improving the properties. Each of us had a role in setting up the properties. Some people would call me an EngiNERD, which shows in the many tech improvements throughout our properties. Julie was the queen of the details, including the kitchen, bedding, and putting those little stickers on the light switches. The children took great pride in their contributions such as the hammock at the Chalet Getaway, bunk beds at the Thompsonville lodge, and movie room at the Birdhouse Bham. We truly enjoy enabling groups of people to reconnect and have a fantastic time. The best, yet unforeseen, benefit has been the amazing reviews from many fantastic groups. They are often screenshotted and passed around our family for the pure joy that it brings to hear of the wonderful time people are having. The impact that it makes on their (and our) mood, happiness and general wellbeing is truly energizing. We will go to great lengths to ensure that your time is fantastic and we look forward to hosting you.
