In the year 1981 the production of Panizza was discontinued and the listed building was sold with the order to preserve the exterior and to convert a small part into a museum. For example, in 1994, the "Museo dell'arte del cappello" was opened, where the visitor has the unique opportunity to gain very interesting insights into the history of the production of the hut.
